Where is the commercial ads for Frozen?

Tangled had these

Wreck it Ralph had these:

Those ads regardless of how you think of them were helpful in promoting those films, but Frozen has pretty much nothing like that. What gives?

Goes to show that Disney isn't confident in Frozen unlike Pixar, Dreamworks, Blue Sky etc who are all proud of their films

Like? I've been trying to find innuendo but I couldn't find any. :S
I guess I expressed myself badly. It wasn't a full-on innuendo, but there are lyrics that are a bit risqué and off-color for a Disney film. For example:

"Like his peculiar brain-dear, his thing with the reindeer
That's a little outside of nature’s laws"

Or:
"I don't know if I'm elated or gassy"

And:
"Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep... snow"

Not that I mind them, it's just that you don't often see/hear lyrics like that in Disney films.

Just found out that everyone I know won't see Frozen till December 19... So sad..
Tell me about it, they just keep pushing it back. Count your blessings, ETA for my copy is December 30...

Not to mention their film's bloated boxoffice earnings.

I do think that Frozen's score sounds very similar to Brave's.
Really? I didn't think so.

Although you can barely see it, I think I'm in love with Elsa's wardrobe change near the end. I love how her dress transforms and she, quite literally, 'becomes' The Snow Queen.

As I suspected 'Let it Go's visuals are going to be 100% complimentary to the song. Definitely a showstopper.

Another review of “The Art of Frozen”. It contains more images from de book:

I don’t know what could be the problem. But they are very short clips. Here are screencaps of three of them. The fourth is Kristoff riding Sven through the snow:

Do you guys know if the 2-Disc soundtrack will feature some kind of fancy packaging? Because I just cannot decide if I should buy the cd or the iTunes version... what are you guys going to get?

That is kinda in the style of those tangled commercial videos. I've never been a fan of those. Actually, this one is probably more in the style of Goofy How To shorts.

I wish that Disney saved the first major evil Disney Prince for GIANTS.

Apparently, in Giants, there's going to be a love triangle with Jack, his childhood friend, Angelina, and a prince/noble named Marco (like Frozen). From what i'm getting, Marco and Angelina are betrothed by force (even though Marco likes likes Angie) because of money and political reasons.

I wish they saved the evil prince thing for Giants (unless that actually happens) because really, the scenario for that is perfect. Using Angelina for money and political reasons from the start, not being a surprise like Hans. If Disney really wanted a first major evil Disney prince (minus Prince John from Robin Hood), there you have it. Let's face it: For now, we all want JackxAngelina anyway :P

Now, i love the twist in Frozen. But, at the same time, I think it was the wrong timing because Hans started off as the perfect Disney Prince. Plus, I was hoping Santino would be a traditional Disney prince.

So, yeah: A part of me wishes that Disney saved the first evil Disney Prince for Giants.

The source has been already posted, but it has been a while, so here we go: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/08/21/ ... ie-giants/

By the way: I expect Disney to officially announce GIANTS by the end of next year at the earliest and the middle of 2015 by the latest.

I'd be willing to bet that Marco will be secretly evil too. I don't think we're going to see a legit, born-royal prince who isn't a bad guy in at least a generation. Hollywood hates the aristocracy and always has.

And listen to this bit from D23, talking about the upcoming Captain Hook movie:

http://youtu.be/KzWka42mP3k?t=26s

Sound familiar?

I didn't care for this Shyamalan twist in the first place. And now they're doing two in a row (possibly three, if I'm right about Giants). It's going to get really old, really quickly.

Yeah, that was literally my first thought when I read this in August: "Oh no, don't tell me Marco will be another Hans moment with the twist" I actually don't mind for now if MarcoxAngelina ends up as a thing at the end to make it more realistic. And I do hope that Marco will be a good guy as it says in the article. And that his relationship with Jack will be very cute, fighting for Angelina.

But, I wouldn't count the Captain Hook reveal in the next Tinkerbell movie because that's the part of Hook's character.

DO you think the two leads will come back and voice their characters as Mandy has for everything they are featured in outside of the movie ?

It's quite a commitment being a Disney Princess in that respect. Would be nice if they honored their characters though.

I assumed that was probably a trademark of Jennifer Lee's. Twists haven't really been a prominent part of Disney movies, as they tend to follow pretty predictable paths. However, Frozen is the second straight Disney film to have a major twist (involving the villain masking their true identity, no less) and is also the second straight Disney Animation written by Lee.

Makes me likely to walk into the next film she writes, immediately expecting the screenplay to do this. Not that I have a problem with that, as long as that formula is not tired out. Though if she was at Disney during production of Tarzan, I guess she would have written a reveal that Tarzan and Clayton were related...which I would actually be cool with.

"Giants" sounds exciting. I hope the character designs will look good.

There was also Roarke's heel turn in Atlantis, which I saw after I read the Frozen spoilers. And you know what? I think it's a rotten move in that film too. Up till the Roarke twist, I was actually more or less enjoying Atlantis. After the twist, the movie took a turn straight for the awful.

And it's not necessarily that I resist heel turns of any kind, though I do tend to think that Shyamalan twists fail far more often than they work. It's that these movies usually turn the wrong characters. I could see different heel turns working better. I always thought that the heel turn in the original Total Recall was a good one, though that was with a relatively minor character.

In what world does Hollywood hate the aristocracy? The one where the prince of England and his new baby mama were on the cover of every magazine when they were married and she got pregnant? Or the one that practically worshipped Princess Diana?

You also overlook that most Disney films feature a born-princess as their main character, too... (including 2 in this one and the two films prior to this one...although Vanellope doesn't really count, I guess, since she is the opposite of a ruler like King Candy).

:? :? :?

Tbh, I think it has to do more with the fact that Disney seems very cautious with their films lately, and seem to work in the same tropes/designs in order to make a safe bet.

There was a Frozen float in the Santa Claus parade in Toronto showing the scene from the teaser trailer. Commercials for it are airing during the broadcast of course, but one says the film is playing now.

I think it would be wonderful if they pulled a Lea/Alan/David (from B&TB, Pocahontas) and have Santino return for Marco and be a good prince. As for Kristen, I am really pulling for Laura Osnes as Angelina :D And maybe Aaron Tveit or a Newsie as Jack. :)
