Over the weekend, my friends Traci Hines (who some of you may have heard of) and Lisa Fabio performed a impromptu version of "I See The Light." Everything pretty much went wrong, so it turned out pretty funny...
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s5uQECCv83A?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s5uQECCv83A?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

I also went in my Flynn costume and my bf as Pascal. Here's a couple pics, some from the Disney gathering :) weeeee....

I noticed "him" in the movie, but I didn't think it really looked like Pumbaa at all.
Oh, it WAS Pumbaa. Except white instead of brown.

I have posted this before, but it probably got lost in the discussion.

But how do people here think Rapunzel is going to do in Japan?

Because the likes of Brother Bear made just under $20 million, but marketed right Rapunzel could do a lot better. I believe that Rapunzel will spark a lot more interest in Japan, due to its style and story.

Box office wise this movie could do anywhere from $5 million to $200 million.

I'm going to take what might seem extreme and say $130 million in Japan. If Alice in Wonderland (2010) can do it, I'm sure Rapunzel can too.

Japan love blonde loli looking girls. Rapunzel is a blonde loli looking girl in the film.

There. You now have the answer.

Tangled is for the moment, the 10th highest grossing film of 2010 in the US. It will probably move down the list as Oscar-bait films like Black Swan and True Grit, as well as already +150 million grossing Tron Legacy continue their climb. But it can be said, for at least a little while, that Tangled was a top 10 grossing film in 2010.

The Top Ten as of 1/12/11 is

01. Toy Story 3- $415,004,880
02. Alice in Wonderland (2010)- $334,191,110
03. Iron Man 2- $312,433,311
04. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse- $300,531,751
05. Inception- $292,576,195
06. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- $288,205,868
07. Despicable Me- $251,405,090
08. Shrek Forever After- $238,736,787
09. How to Train Your Dragon- $217,581,231
10. Tangled- $176,697,860

The bigger accomplishment is that five animated films made the Top 10. :)

Well, DreamWorks still writes half of their inexplicably successful features off as losses.

Still, it must be pretty damn cool to have hair that long.

Not exactly. It is a pain and mine is not even as long as those girls. Mine is almost ankle length and I have to wear it up most of the time. Washing it is easy, but it takes forever to dry. It gets caught in everything. It is hard to brush. You can't do fancy braids without getting all sorts of tangles in the process. The tangles are sometimes very difficult to smooth out. You sit on it, you kneel on it, others might sit on it too! People think you are crazy.

I would cut it except that I have a goal. I wanted to see if I could reach my ankles like my great aunt's hair did. I am almost there and then I will take some photos and then cut it.

Ironic....someone who has long hair to their ankles and has the username Rapunzel....interestingly ironic :P

Only on the UD Forums :P

My hair is only down to the middle of my back and I can't imagine letting it get much longer. It already gets in the way and tangles easy. But at the same time there's something cool about having relatively long hair. :D

My hair refuses to grow past the middle of my back. I made the mistake of cutting it to my shoulders 6 years ago, and it still hasn't quite returned to the mid-back length. You're very lucky, Rapunzel, to have such great hair-growing genes. Although I have to admit, ankle-length is a little extreme!
