I feel I should introduce myself on this message board since I am new to it. First of all, I am a huge Disney fan and I love everything about it. If I had to pick ones that I like better than the rest I would have to say "The Watcher in the Woods" and "The Black Cauldron." I hope to talk to so many of you here and make new internet friends through our love of Disney. So, "Hello" to everybody.

Welcome to UltimateDisney.com Cosmic Creepers. What a cute user name, loved Cosmic Creepers in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. And The Watcher in The Woods was an exceptional yet different Disney film. It was very bold, had a lot of elements in it. But it was also directed by John Hough who was famous for directing British Horror type films so go figure. It is one of 4 four films he did for Disney Studios, the first two being the infamous Disney Witch Mountain movies, this one and followed by the Made for TV Black Arrow with Oliver Reed.

Also Bette Davis was superb as Mrs. Aylwood bringing her usual genesequa to the film.

Not sure if you have ever heard of it, my favorite Disney Film has to be Bon Voyage! was so delighted when Disney issued it on DVD a few years back. Corny? yes. Dated? yes. But still for some odd reason I love to watch it, Fred MacMurray was great with Jane Wyman they had magnificent chemistry. And it was also quite an obscurity for Disney and raised some eyebrows from critics as some of its subject matter for example: Hungarian Wolfhound played by Ivan Desny getting a little to friendly with Ms. Wyman at a party. And when Fred MacMurray is hit on by a French prostitute. Was ahead of its time, and not usual Disney Comedy Fare.

But all and all a really good movie, and has a great score as well. Shame its not more well known among fans.

I don't get to the parks as often as I'd like, but I'm D23, a member of the WD Family Museum, and my DVD collection is chock full of Disney classics. Faves? Peter Pan, Pinocchio, and a soft spot for Robin Hood.

When not parked in front of a Disney film, I make my living as a standup comedian and music artist, traveling the country and bringing the funny.

Are you kidding? I love this movie. Jane Wyman is amazing in it. I love her in "Pollyanna" too!

Hi, my name is Niamh. I'm only 19 but I adore Disney. I was lucky enough to experience the Disney revival during my childhood. My first memory of Disney is seeing the little mermaid at a friends party, after it had first been released on tape.
Toys lead to my fascination with Disney. My uncle had one of the first apple computers, and he got a disney cd game. I think it came free with it. It had Aladdin, The Lion King on it. I was obsessed with the Aladdin game. It made me go search for more Disney and when I seen the Aladdin movie, I was in heaven. Pocahontas was my idol. I remember one Christmas, all I wanted was a doll of her. They were impossible to get but my uncle managed to get me a large one that I adored. I had the Cinderella castle 'Polly pocket' type thing, that I still have on my shelf to this day. The Disney store in Oxford, where I go all my hunchback of Notre Dame toys, including my Esmerelda rag doll, that is right beside me as I type, was a particularly fond memory. I always go to a Disney store, in every city I visit, as unfortunately Ireland does not have one. The closest one is in Northern Ireland.
We never really bought tapes, when I was younger, as my mother was a supporter of renting, instead of buying. One tape that had to be bought was Mary Poppins. Everytime I got sick, I would sit on my bean bag, have an ice lolly and watch Mary Poppins. One day all the video store were out of Mary Poppins to rent, so my dad bought me it instead. It was also one of the first Disney dvds I bought myself.
Ever since I was very young, i had begged to go to Disneyland. Lots of people I knew had been to Paris, and the US ones. Finally aged 18, my parents brought me as a graduation present to Paris. Definitely the happiest moment of my life so far.

Hey guys (and gals?),

Am new to the forums and wanted to say hi and sorta introduce myself.

When I was a kid, I already was a big Disney-fan and had most of them on VHS, sold them when I was 12, cuz I wasn't "interested" in them anymore. When Snow White was released as Platinum in 2001, I almost bought it, but thought it was too expensive. I 'always' regretted throwing away my Disney-VHS.

I finally decided to buy my first Disney dvd in 2006, when The Little Mermaid was released, which was the first movie I ever watched in cinema.

In 2007 I bought The Fox And The Hound (Special Edition).

In 2008 I had to buy my favorite movie of all time, Sleeping Beauty (Platinum).

In 2009 I bought the Diamond edtion of Snow White.

Still, I wanted more...and last May (two months ago), I decided to get all the ones I wanted, but when I started I couldn't stop anymore..., so here's all the dvds I bought since May... (note: they all contain a slipcover)

Also not sure if I want the Donald/Mickey ones, like Make Mine Music and such. And really not sure if I want the Winnie The Pooh one.

I also decided to only buy the ones with a slipcase, so I really hope Hunchback and Rescuers Down Under will be re-released soon.

And I bought the Disney Treasures book, which is great, wish there was a book like it that contained the next 50 years of the studio.

About myself...
I am a 27-year old guy. Time seems to go so fast. I tried college, but was 2 points short, so I had to drop out. Now I work at my mother's store, a jewellery-store, which is nice. Been working there now for over a year. But I really want to find something, that suits me more, but I'm just too lazy to properly search for a job.

I used to live on my own, while I was in college, but like, 2 years ago I moved back in with my parents. If everything goes to plan, I'll be moving out again before summer 2011. Oh , and uhmm, I live in Europe, The Netherlands to be precise. But thank god for region-free dvd-players...

I write songs and love to sing them and play guitar.
I love music and movies. I go to the cinema about 6 or 7 times a month.

I also like to buy tv shows on dvd, and stopped buying movies on dvd a while back, since I would only watch them once or twice. For some reason, I can watch certain tv-shows over and over again.

And well, since a few months, also collecting Disneys...sorta

So yeh, that's me in a nutshell. If there are any questions...please ask...

Haha, yes...I've been lurking here for a few weeks now, and did find all the Anti-Slipcover remarks. I was looking for a list with all the dvds that had one. The Rescuers wasn't on it, but managed to find one anyway.

But for now, I'll stay clear of the Slipcover threads...

I have posted 2 times on this board before, but I really want to introduce myself. Hello, I am Matthew Chlebda. I live in Pennsylvania, home of the Great American Hershey's Chocolate and Longwood Gardens! No, I do not live near Longwood Gardens or Hershey Park, but I do live in Huntingdon Valley, which in the Abinton district. The reason why I gave myself the name "avonleastories" (the 95 is from the year I was born, 1995) is because I love to read (somedays, I read for 2 hours!). My favorite books are:

A Christmas Carol
and Fairy Tale Anthologies

Hi, my name is Tommy long I have been following and constantly logging on to this site for like about 6 months checking this site for DVD reviews and checking out this forum for news for princess and the frog and for rapunzel (by now it's called tangled) and relying on this site for news of new animation projects that Disney was making, and I finally made a account!

I was born in 1995 In Toronto,Ontario and have been raised in a place with no one interested in animation or Disney, I have also experimented in animation for a school project and it have thaot me that there is alot of hardwork and sweat that goes in to these things and guess what it kind of came of perfact in my oppinion



My first Disney DVD I bought is the lion king and sleeping beauty special edition DVD I remember I used to watched them Both alot!
The movie which made me appriciate animation even more has to be the little mermaid when it first came out on DVD in 2006(which I bought on the 1st day) and when I bought Anastasia, I remember picking this movie up in walmart in
the same year it came out(yeah the one with the ugly cover) yeah I know
Anastasia might not be related to Disney but I just want to say this movie was one of the best nondisney movie in the 90s.

My screen-name comes from the character Goliath in the Disney tv series Gargoyles, which was more obvious when I had a picture of him as my avatar, but I bumped him to replace him with my absolute number one musical hero.
