I don't think they did.

The
Luca artbook was posted several days before the
Encanto one, so they might still release the one for
Raya. It's great that they're making them available for free. The screenplays are also online. I know the
Luca one has been posted here, but I don't know if the
Raya and
Encanto ones have. In case they haven't, here they are:

They'll certainly try. I doubt it'll last as long as its own franchise as even Moana did. Maybe if Disney's streaming tactics weren't harming the theatrical releases of their current films, it would be a different story.

It looks like the soundtrack's popularity has helped the movie's performance on streaming.

Very interesting about Mirabel's name (similar to mirar "to see" and "miracle"). I know the word mirar means to see, but I didn't connect it.
The wedding candle! They should've kept that detail. When I watched the film, I felt the reason Alma ended up "trying" so hard to "earn" the miracle is because it was an attempt to show equal love to Pedro's sacrifice.
That they considered the Salt Cathedral for both Luisa's and Bruno's rooms sort of explains why Luisa's song and the song about Bruno are the best songs from the film... They apparently put more thought into those characters than the others.
Open your eyes as the first line in the film is appropriate considering the whole movie is about the family "opening their eyes."
Mirabel being 15 makes her the youngest "princess" since Snow White (unless you include Alice, Wendy, or Eilonwy, for example).
Generational trauma -- That's definitely a good description for the heart of film and why it works. Alma, Bruno, and Mirabel are all suffering a trauma of some kind or other (Alma losing her husband, Bruno being ostracized, Mirabel not receiving powers and being in the early phases of being ostracized like Bruno). I don't feel like Luisa's and Isabela's issues rise up to the same level of being "trauma" like those three, but in a way their existence of their problems is because of Alma's trauma with losing Pedro being reflected outwards into how she treated them.

Encanto series and holiday special are reportedly in the works.
Jim Hill wrote:What I'm hearing, in regard to future franchise expansion, is Encanto getting the Moana/The Princess and the Frog treatment as in a new limited series for Disney+. Also, they're kicking the tires on the idea of doing an Encanto holiday special, sort of a Christmas in Columbia idea, which I'm kind of intrigued by.

I wonder if this means no plans for a sequel or not? I remember thinking the only thing that would stop a sequel is if Miranda would rather do an original project rather than get mucked up in Encantoland for years on end the way the Lopezes were with Frozen 2. Or perhaps they still plan to at some point, but they're delaying their sequel announcements because of all the criticism a year or two ago about the sequels from Disney and especially PIXAR. I think that's the same reason they haven't announced Zootopia 2 or Frozen 3 yet.
That said, on the merits of the stories alone, I could see more potential from a Zootopia 2 or a Raya 2 than from Encanto. Not that they couldn't think of something to do with the characters; they did for Frozen 2 even though fairy tales aren't conducive to sequels, imo.

Luisa’s Secret Room Would’ve Been A Huge Encanto Problem
Luisa's secret room didn't make the final cut of Encanto, and there may be a reason. One of Encanto's most popular songs is "Surface Pressure," where Luisa sings about her struggles with carrying the family's burdens. But Luisa almost had an escape from those burdens after all. In Disney's Art of Encanto, the filmmakers revealed Luisa's potential bedroom details. Production Designer Ian Gooding said Luisa's room was almost dull and made of stone to show she was responsible. However, Gooding added, "She also had a secret exit to a hidden room that nobody knew about, with a theme park where she could just have fun like a little kid." And that is a problem for Encanto's "Surface Pressure." If Luisa did have an escape, it might have taken some of the meaning out of the song.

I was pleasantly surprised by that, I thought they would most likely choose
Mitchells or
Flee over it.

I think
Mitchells and the Bond song are not undeserving winners, but I was hoping
Encanto would at least win best song.

I see Encanto crashing/burning at the Oscars in 2 weeks. It has no chance against James Bond for Song, & Mitchells has clearly stolen it's thunder with wins at the Annies & Critics Choice. I hope I'm wrong though.

I think there's still hope for it winning Best Animated Feature, but I agree that Best Song will most likely go to "No Time to Die".

Next Saturday is the Producers Guild of America Awards. Whichever wins that will be the front-runner for the Oscar the following Sunday.
