They defientely forgot it on purpose. I swear the creative executives did a lot of work on this movie.

So, I got the book and I’m reading a tiny bit....

VANELLOPE DOES SING :D :D :D There’s no word if there’s a reprise with the princesses (but the princess scene is very different from the book, but the book is missing a lot of things. I really wish Kido can comment on the differences between the movie and the book), but if Kido says we should be happy with their last scene, I’m sure there is. Disney is not stupid.

So if the book is any indication, the scene has changed. Instead of them stopping Ariel from singing, Vanellope goes WTH and the girls encourage her to find a song. No more embarrassing secrets.

And the song itself:

Vanellope realizes Slaughter Races is her dream, not Sugar Rush. Vanellope doesn’t know how she is singing, but she goes with it. The Slaughter Racers join her. They do the number around Slaughter Races ALL day. Then, at the night time, the moon turns into Ralph. Hoping he gets a solo here because John C. Reilly has a singing career and his voice is gorgeous. So the last part is what does she do?

I’m soo sooo sooo excited to hear the song and see it, especially if Alan is the writer!

Thank you for sharing !

It is exciting if they get a song .... I hope it is Alan if they do ! It will be the first time they sing anything fresh from Alan ... ever ?

For reference, what was the original Princess scene ? It seems to have gone through a lot of iterations before the final version that is seemingly still being worked on.

Meeko would never behave like that. He's mischievous, not feral. They could have made a gag about him rummaging through the princesses' belongings or trying to steal something from Vanellope instead. They can't even get the character of the animal sidekick right. Good grief.

I was never a fan of this depiction of Meeko. If Disney needed a rabid raccoon they should have used the one from Incredibles 2.

I have to agree on the comments. A part of me think it’s funny, but it’s just like....why? Meeko is a sweet characuter. What’s the punchline? Rajah and Cinderella’s friends are the same. Why Meeko?

Even Flit or Percy, while not rabid characters, would have made more sense since neither of them are particularly trusting of outsiders at first. Meeko while mischievous was also the friendliest of the animals. He approaches John Smith even before Pocahontas does, holds Flit back from attacking John Smith when Pocahontas meets him, and comforts the frightened Percy after Kocoum is killed.

"From the studio that brought you Frozen." Disney is still riding on Frozen's success, despite having other hits lately and just one year before the sequel :P.

And I agree with the comments about Meeko (which happened so fast that I had to watch the trailer again to catch it). But the worst offender is that Meeko doesn't even look like himself.

At least Disney is being consistent here, since they're usually not even that, at least not when it comes to their home video releases. However, I actually thought Meeko looked quite accurate from the brief glimpse I saw of him. I'm sure my opinion will change when I get a better look at him though.

Really? After having seen it, it wasn't that different from the English one.

At least the Australian trailer promotes the Zootopia-studio than Frozen. And gotta love the goggle comment :P.

Reading my comment again I realize it actually gives the impression the trailer was very different, but I meant it literally. Most of it was the same and we have already seen most of the footage that was different in other trailers.

I liked the Google joke too. Zootopia was also mentioned in the UK trailer: https://youtu.be/BSwXPEH15TY?t=34
