Oh, come on! I thought Newman did good for The Princess and the Frog! :(

I'm not saying he should be on board for this, but come on! Give the guy a break!

Even though the site said this was for a Snow Queen Disneyland attraction...I think I saw this in official Disney books saying it was just for a snow and ice themed Disney park attraction.

I would totally not mind if that was the Snow Queen's design though (well, with a more up, tight, more regal villainous hair-style and a smaller ice crown. Oh, and a cape).

Any one here think the Character of the Snow Queen will change to a Snow Princess?
I can see them doing that .. Perhaps to boost The Disney Princess Franchise ?

The Snow Queen is a villain. I don't think she will fit in with the rest of the 'princesses'.

Then again that would actually diversify their line up because it would be fun to have a Disney Princess thats a villian.I can see they could market the Snow Queen and it will be misaimed merchandising for a great number of reason but on the other hand it would be something unique. :D

I love that drawing! I would be completely content if that was the final design. Maybe with a smaller crown though.

Is that by any chance a Marc Davis illustration?

This looks beautiful! Hmmm... I really wanted this to be 2D, but we can't change anything.... I'm looking forward to see how Disney adapts this tale in CGI.
I'm in love with this design and picture. If the one in the film is half as amazing I'll be happy.

I agree. I'm normally not a Newman fan, but I liked the music he created for The Princess and the Frog. And personally, I'm tired of everyone bashing the music for that movie.

Thank you for agreeing with me.

To be honest, I don't think Tangled is all that perfect either in terms of songs. Sure, The Princess and the Frog might not be Disney's magnum opus, but at least none of their songs are out of place! Remember the first' When Will My Life Begin'? That's the only song that I feel is out of place in the movie because it feels more like a rock/pop song.

No problem. You're welcome.

Personally I prefer the songs from Tpatf than the songs from Tangled and I usually love Alan Menken's work. The only song which really stood out from Tangled, was I See the Lights, which is fantastic (despite that Mandy Moore's voice isn't technically strong enough to carry the high notes).

Just take out the electric guitar and its not a rock song. When I heard the song in a toy, the instruments they used made the song sound like it could have existed in medieval times. It's a great song.

I think every single song in Tangled is better than any song in The Princess and the Frog, except I've got a dream. Any song from The Princess and the Frog is probably better than that song.

I don't like "I've got a dream" either. It sounds just like the circus song in Dumbo.

I‘m surprised. I’m no fan of either soundtracks--at all--but “Almost There” and “Down in the New Orleans” are both fairly good--and more memorable than just about anything in Tangled, except perhaps “Mother Knows Best” which trips up lyrically. The music of TP&TF isn’t quite my sound and the lyrics could, overall, be better. That said, the music in Tangled is just bland and derivative of Menken’s better work. Enchanted was much better for him.

Well I highly disagree and think that's wrong. I think Enchanted only has two and a half good songs (only some things about True Love's Kiss are good) and that they are only a litte bit better than the three good songs in Tangled.

But seeing that TPatF is set in New Orleans and they have a love for music. I bet it would be much easier to research/compose songs for this movie. I think Menken did a good job was Tangled, considering it's set in a Fairytale Setting with no musical heritage.

My favorite song in TPatF has got to be "Down in New Orleans Reprise" It showcases Anika's voice.

Rapunzel's solo songs did seemed weaker than previous princesses. I would love her to have a song like "True Loves Kiss" "I wont say I'm Love" or "Part of this World"

The only songs I liked in The Princess and the Frog were:

1. Almost There

2. Friends on the Other Side

3. Down in New Orleans (Reprise)

Maybe it's my optimistic nature (I have been accused of being too nice towards films and television shows in the past. ), but I liked all of the songs in Tangled, The Princess and the Frog and Enchanted.

That’s still 2 pts higher than Tangled.
