Just like Josh, I too watched The Hot Chick yesterday. Hil-freaking-arious!

Today I watched Scream. Up until now, I'm probably the only person in the world who hadn't seen this movie. It was stupid.

Saw Flags of our Fathers today. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen in my lifetime. I went in expecting greatness, and I left with more than just that. Definitely the best film of the year so far.

Cheers,

Hold on, The Hot Chick is good, but Scream is stupid? Has the whole world gone topsy-turvy?

I settle it: They both suck. :P

Sorry mate, I couldn't resist. Rob Schneider blows, and the last good horror movie came out in the '80s. So there ya go.

Cheers,

Yes, it was stupid, but I wouldn't say that I completely hated it. I loved I Know What You Did Last Summer, and you can't get much more stupid than that. It was just predictable from start to finish. The acting doesn't deserve much praise either (except for Drew Barrymore's performance in the beginning).

Wanted to lighten up the afternoon so I watched Summer Rental with John Candy, Richard Crenna, and a very young Joey Laurence. Very funny movie and I really like it a lot.

That's a pretty good movie, I love the part where his wife and her lover drive up the drive through and he's like "Smile! You're at Smiles! (or whatever it's called)." That's the best part of that movie. :)

After watching the LittleMermaid/Sweet Transvestite video on YouTube, I had to go watch my favorite movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show. At 9 o'clock in the morning, it is quite a trip.

If the world is indeed topsy-turvy, let me be the first to say:

BOOGEDY-BOOGEDY-BOO!

And now that that bit of randomness is out of the way...

Scream > Anything With Rob Schneider

I always liked Scream, but never get around to picking it up because it's non-anamorphic.

And from a quick amazon and dvdaf search, it appears the 4-disc boxset is OOP, so maybe that means that Dimension will be releasing the unrated director's cut and a new boxset. Still, I think I'll track down the old boxset just in case features from there aren't carried over.

Watched WORLD TRADE CENTER. My God, what a Wonderful movie... sad, shocking... but still amazing... represents the best of the human being, the willing to stay alive, to see their families again... and think that it was all inspired by a true story...
A fantastic movie experience I'd recommend to everyone! :)

I watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the first time this weekend. I really liked it, despite not totally getting it, but I think that it's the kind of film that you need to see a few times to totally get. I may get the DVD at a later date.

Watched Porky's Revenge while I duped it to DVD+RW from my DVR. It was on INHD2 in the middle of the night last night. I love this movie. It should have been the second of the Porky's movies instead of the dreadful "Porky's II The Next Day", which was terrible.

Just finished watching The Great Yokai War for the second time; the first being at last year's Toronto International Film Festival. Someone finally got around to releasing this rather entertaining Japanese fantasy/family film from Takashi Miike on DVD this month, and I picked it up as soon as I heard it was out. It's kind of a fusion of The Neverending Story, Mirrormask, & Pokemon/Digimon; in the same vein as stuff like The Dark Crystal, etc. Anyway, it's quite good, and if any of you get a chance you should give it a rent.

Now, I'm really hoping Zebraman is the next of Miike's films to be put on on Region 1 DVD.

Just finished Monster House and I forgot how good this movie really is. The critics hated the timing of the release, but I think that the producers had it all in place for a Halloween release, and it is the perfect movie for Halloween.
