And speaking of terrible - I got my Zombie DVD Fright Pack today in the mail and watched 4 of the 8 movies I got altogether. 1 was really good (House by the Cemetery, 1981), another was okay (Zombie, 1979), and 2 of them were god-awful (City of the Living Dead, 1980 / The Beyond, 1981)!

Watched Over the Hedge twice. Once we watched it including all the extras, of which there are a ton. The pre-preview of Jerry Seinfeld's "Bee Movie" really looks good. "Shrek 3" looks like it has possibilities. And all the featurettes on the making of "Hedge", the characters, the voice-actors, and how to draw "Hammy" are just priceless.

After the grandkids were gone we watched "Over the Hedge" a second time and listened to the commentary. Really a lot of fun. And the 48-page hardcover book that came with it from Circuit City is quite insightful, also.

Monsters Inc Watched this last night. One of my favorite Pixar films.
The Core Boring movie . Had to watch it in Science.

Watched Over the Hedge earlier. It had a few funny scenes but I did not really like it as much as Cars or Monster House, but it was not as bad as Shark Tale. 3/5. the preview for bee movie looked apalling IMO. I am worried that CGI movies will get worse and worse.

I watched The Little Mermaid in Spanish class today. So, obviously, we watched it in Spanish.

I absolutely LOVE the movie in english. But in spanish, let's just say that I was thrilled when Ursula took Ariel's voice!

Anyway - I watched Friday the 13th Part 3 again

With me being off work due to my surgery, I have been having mini-marathons these past two-weeks in between watching other movies. Today we are having a Lethal Weapon 1-4 marathon. Next up will probably be the Die Hard Trilogy.

We have done:

Star Wars 1-6

Star Trek 1-10

Billy Jack - all four movies

Terminator 1-3

Batman 1-4

and we hope to get to the Alien Quadrilogy in the next couple of days.

Yeah. Haven't you seen The Simpson's where Marge and Otto race to the school and Milhouse says "It's just like Speed 2, only it's a bus instead of a boat!"

Watched Mickey's House of Villains this morning. It's a pretty darn good Halloween cartoon compilation, and it's cool that it has newer toons mixed in with all the old Halloween classics. It's a decent substitute for not having Disney's Halloween Treat. Of course, you don't get the classic clips from Disney features, like the Wizard's Duel or Ichabod's ride, but they're just clips and I have the features... Miss the Magic Mirror though. Did they have two of those Halloween specials, or just one? Not counting the DTV Monster Hits special of music videos on NBC. I mean, did the Disney Channel have its own special?

Pride & Prejudice The 2005 version. I like it very much.

Monty Python and the holy grail

Watched two of the greatest comedies ever made while duping from DVR to DVD+RW:

A Night at the Opera - The Marx Bros., Margaret Dumont, Allan Jones and Kitty Carlisle. This is one of the funnest movies that the Marx Bros. (Groucho, Chico and Harpo) ever made. One laugh after another, and some pretty good music also.

A Day at the Races - The Marx Bros., Margaret Dumont, Maureen O'Sullivan and Allan Jones. From 1937, this is one hilarious laugh-a-minute movie.

The Hot Chick- 8.8/10 hahahaha, I was obsessed with this movie a few years ago, and I watched it last night, its not as funny once you know whats going to happen, nevertheless, it was still hilarious. However I noticed things in the movie I never really saw before, e.g, the lack of dialogue and character relationships, but I still loved it.

American Beauty was on TNT tonight, and since none of us wanted to watch Return to Halloweentown (Kram wanted to, but he had me tape it for him so he could go out to dinner with some friends), we watched it.

Have to say, I can see why it got those boatloads of awards/nominations. Quite an impressive film for 1999.

Escapay

Chasing Amy-Taped from last night. I enjoyed it, but I was probably better off just reading the script, some of the time I felt like I was just waiting for the next line. Still a good movie nonetheless, probably not one of my favourites from Smith of the ones I've seen so far.

Marie Antoinette (2006) - My favorite film of the year, so far. Absolutely phenomenal. Phe-nom-e-nal. Far exceeded my expectations which were already set high.

The Blue and the Gray - Part 1

loved this movie in the past, and now Im seeing it on DVD for the first time....

Corpse Bride I liked it very much, it's so cute. The end is kinda bittersweet though.
