I guess I'll make my list in this thread.
1940s: Pinocchio. I found Bambi to be a little boring, and Dumbo was a little too cartoonish for me. I haven't seen any of the other movies.
1950s: Tie between Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland.
1960s: One Hundred and One Dalmatians
1970s: The Rescuers

A lot of the decades are VERY tricky for me to pick from (it's like trying to choose a favourite child), but four decades are easy to pick for me:
1970s - Bedknobs and Broomsticks
1980s - Return to Oz
1990s - Beauty and the Beast
2000s - Enchanted

A lot of them are very close for me so I'm just going to list two for most of them.
1940s: Pinocchio, Bambi
1950s: Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp
1960s: One Hundred and One Dalmatians
1970s: The Rescuers, The Aristocats
1980s: The Little Mermaid
1990s: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast
2000s: Lilo and Stitch, The Emperor's New Groove

technically, Fantasia 2000 was released in Imax in 1999 wasn't it?
40's: Pinocchio
50's: Sleeping Beauty
60's: 101 Dalmatians
70's: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
80's: The Little Mermaid
90's: Pocahontas
00's: Lilo & Stitch
Hopefully, Tangled is the beginning of making a hard decision on the 2Kteens, 10 years from now.

Technically, audiences in 4 cities internationally were able to see it the last two weeks of 1999---in the US, I believe, one could see it in New York. Wide release in IMAX didn't begin until December 31/January 1, and a *true* wide release didn't come until later in 2000. I still would have had to drive 2 hours to see it in January, so I don't have a problem with classifying it as a film of the 2000s.
