It would please the fans, that's for sure. Maybe they'll make episode 3.5 to see how Jar Jar dies. I mean, have you ever questioned why he's not in 4, 5, and 6?

I might as well post a review and get it all out!
Exactly last week, Saturday the 11th, I went out to see Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. After reading mixed reviews (mostly negative ones) I came to the theatre not knowing what to expect. I got my big bucket of popcorn and some Pepsi and proceeded to the theatre. After 2 previews of The Island ( ) and a preview of the Fantastic 4 (I'm excited about this one) the movie began.

Starting with a huge battle scene in space with Anakin and Obi Wan after the traditional opening, this got my expectations way up for the rest of the movie. The whole scene was pure Star Wars action fun. After 40 minutes of film I already knew that I should never listen to critics again. Acting wasn't awful as described, the story was amazing, effects blew my mind and the essence of the film was as Star Wars-ish as can be. Heck, even the love scenes weren't that uncomfortable.

Let's start off with the story. For anyone who hasn't heard it yet, in short it's about Anikan's turn to the dark side after being manipulated. This story truly shows how much Anakin is confused. On the one side he's loyal to the Jedi council and feels guilty when doing wrong yet inside of him grow feelings of hate, jealousy, greed and anger. He is confused and eventually the evil emperor takes advantage of that and turns him to the dark side. Star Wars fans claim this story is barely exciting since everyone knows what will happen next, but can you truly say scenes such as Order 66 weren't exciting? I'm not a big fan yet I almost cried during that scene, seeing how easily democracy falls in the hands of evil people. I was truly moved and I must thank Lucas for giving Star Wars more meaning other than cool space fights. I'd also like to get the cheesiness issue cleared out. Yes, the script is cheesy but some seem to easily forget that the original's script was also cheesy. For example: "I love you." Leia says in return: "I know". I mean, what was that? Also the line when Padme says to Anakin to hold her appears in the original OT so how can some easily accuse this of being cheesy when the OT is no better?

Anyway, on to the acting and the scenes. I have to admit, acting could've been better, much better. But then we have to remember what these people are working with. At best they get a set prop or two, and the rest is done behind a blue screen. Give 'em some slack; it's quite a difficult task to pull off. The love scenes were cheesy and wooden, yet I can't help but mention that in the original movies it was no better. I didn't grow up on the OT so I don't have those sweet memories of amazing acting. I've seen the movies quite recently, so I think it's fair for me to judge the acting as I have no previous attachment to these movies. For me, the acting is actually better here than in any other Star Wars movie.

The scenes themselves were both amazing and overwhelming (in a negative way). The special effects here are amazing, yet at times I feel there was a need to take a moment of relaxation and show some old-fashioned sets. While this doesn't drag the movie down significantly I feel it could've been done better. Some scenes worth mentioning were the lava scene with Obi Wan against Anakin, and Obi Wan's scene on that rock planet (forgot the name already ). Both scenes were pulled off amazingly! Other scenes also worth mentioning for pulling off drama rather well are Anakins turn to the dark side, Order 66 (in particular Anikans murdering of young Jedis) and Padme's funeral.

Overall I must say this movie was great! If only fanatics would come open mindedly they might have managed to enjoy the movie (and the new trilogy) a whole lot more. This movie is both fun and dark, and is pulled off well in my honest opinion. If you're interested in hearing a review that's not made by a die hard fan or someone who grew up on the OT, this is a review for you. I can honestly say this movie is Star Wars at its best. Go see it!

A very close second. I watched episode 4 today and he is, and I mean is, a mirror image of Alec Guiness. It's scary. Did you guys think that Samuel L. Jackson seemed a little out of place in certain parts of the movie? He was great, but his performance seemed a little awkward in certain parts.

I'd also like to say that Jar Jar doesn't utter a word in the whole movie.

Not true. He says "Excuse me" in one scene.

Ian Mcdiarmid does rule in this movie... he is so freaky and creepy. Its hard to believe he's a nice guy in real life. I'd really like to meet him so I could see for myself because he plays evil all too well.

I've read this online a few times now...people seem to want a scene of Yoda going to Dagobah. There WAS a scene like this planned, but Lucas felt that there were enough endings already and so they didn't do it. But really, there is no mystery there. He got in a ship and went there. We really don't need to see it to know it happened. (Also, I don't think the planet was crappy, it was swampy and full of life, so its also strong with the Force. A very logical place for a Jedi to go who's just fallen a couple of hundred feet and defeated in battle.)

THere was a scene cut toward the end at the Polis Massan medical station on the asteroid world where Yoda was meditating and spoke with Qui Gon Jinn. Qui Gon has discovered how to still exist after death. No one had ever done this before in the Star Wars universe as Jedi believe tht when you die your energy becomes the Force. Qui Gon discovered how to still keep his individual self and how to come back. He teaches Yoda this and Obi Wan, that is the training that Yoda referred to.

I don't know why people focus on killing Jar Jar so much. So what, its a cute alien like the Ewoks. People really need to lighten up on that stuff. I'm sorry but there's no law that states that every alien either has to be evil or Badasss! These movies feature all kinds of alien creatures, that's part of the fun. There are some people out there who really liked Jar Jar. I used to work with a guy who collected only Jar Jar stuff. The aliens I wanted to see get killed off were the Neimoidians, the annoying Trade Federation guys. Luckily they did get killed and loved it!

There's a deleted scene that's rumored to be added to the film in the DVD release!

but the ewoks are fuzzy, and JAr JAr is a weird-o

(sigh) As with all the other prequels. Why can't he just do this before the movie comes out so it's in the theatrical cut. He could take a few more days to finish the scene before it's released in theaters.

but hey, watching die that bulging eyes pal diying on different ways would be hillarious(Don´t know, being hitted by something between the battle of Yoda and Sidious, being made sushi chops by Griveous, being shocked to death by R2D2, bored to death by C3pio, laser saber accident, flying ship accident..)

I actully liked Jar Jar Binks in episode one. He gave a little humor to the film. I don't know why people hate him so much. First they were saying that he made fun of the black man. But guess what, he was played by a black man. Noe people just say they hate him.

The key word being he gave a little humor to the film. I laughed at some of his gags, but overall, I didn't like him. I don't know about everyone else, but I didn't like Jar Jar because:

1) I honestly couldn't understand about half of what he was saying and it annoyed me because I thought I was missing important info.

2) He was part of the only fart joke in Star Wars history. I thought Star Wars was above that. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hate fart jokes with a passion. "OMFG! H3 faRted! taht is teh hilari0us!" See, that's just stupid. That's just a personal grudge I have against him, though.

3) One other reason I don't like him is because he basically made most of episode 1 a kid's movie, and I felt that really hurt the story. Kids may like Star Wars, but that doesn't make it a kid's movie. It had serious themes in it and I think that's why episode 3 did so well: that movie got darker and it got people interested in the plot. Star Wars is supposed to have humor, but not gags, if you see what I mean. Jar Jar was just one gag after another, which made me hate him. And why put another comic relief character in when R2D2 is the funniest, coolest, and most useful comic relief character in the franchise (and he can fight too, as seen in Episode 3 ).

Yep, it's the one seeing Yoda land on that weird planet! It will definetly be in the DVD, but it's rumored to be included in the movie (I hope so). I also know about 4 deleted scenes that were cut showing Padme trying to change things with talks with other politicians. I hope one of those scenes are included as well as she really should've done more than just wait for things to change. It's not like her!

Oh, cool. That should be interesting. I was searching for deleted scenes for this movie and found a list of them, but I don't know if they'll be on the DVD; I hope so.

The deleted scenes are:
-Mace greets Palpatine and the Jedi right after the crash-landing at the beginning of the movie
-Yoda, Obi-Wan and Mace discuss the Dark Side in Yoda's quarters
-Bail and fellow Senators speak about the Senate
-Obi-Wan tells Padme of his worries about Anakin and that he knows they're in love
-Meeting with Organa, Mon Mothma and Padme
-Anakin informs Palpatine that Obi-Wan soon will have Grievous' head
-Jar Jar greets Anakin at Senate (Nooooooooooooooo! )
-Anakin confronts Padme (about what, I wonder)
-Republic cruiser arrives at Utapau
-Obi-Wan chooses his lizard, Boga
-Mace talks to Yoda on Kashyk, telling him of his plans to arrest Palpatine
-Padme presents the Senators' petition to Palpatine
-Utapau windmill (I have no idea what that will be about)
-"Crazy" Yoda and Chewbacca ambush an AT-ST (Crazy? Hmmm)
-Yoda lands on Dagobah (Aha!)
-Grievous killing Shaak Ti
-The Jedi using their lightsabers to escape General Grievous
-Underwater swim (Vague)
-Climb through shaft (Vague again)
-Many of R2D2's hangar gags (Yesssssssssssssssss! )
-Many Palpatine cliffhangers (Vague)

Many of these titles are very vague, and I have no idea what some of them mean, but that's what the website said. I hope they'll all be on the DVD.
