I'm guessing they're #29-34 in Fox's Studio Classics?
I've only got #1-4, #15-17, #26, #28, and the LE (Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans). One of these days I'll get all the others, but right now, it's only the ones that interest me that I plan on buying.
I do plan on getting all of Fox's Film Noir series. I've got the first (Laura), and I could've gotten #2 and #3 for $10 each, but never did, and now they're back at regular price of $14.95 at Virgin Megastore.

Hi.
Yeah when I get #29-34 in the mail after they are released, I will own all of the Studio Classic DVDs including Sunrise LE. I was one of the few that turned in 3 proofs of purchase + $2.50 to The Sunrise DVD Offer in 2003, and waited for 3 months to get it in the mail. It was well worth it. I loved Sunrise great movie. I always loved Janet Gaynor's acting though so that is probablly one of the reasons that I liked it. There are just so many dvds on my wishlist it isn't even funny. The studios are releasing a lot of good ones. Laura with Gene Tierny is one of the next dvds that I am going to buy. I hope that 20th Century Fox will release Heaven Can Wait with Gene Tierny on dvd. That was the best version of the movie ever made. I love it. But sadly it was only released to VHS and it has been out of print for years. I also hope that 20th Century Fox will add Dear Brigitte, and Mr. Hobbs Vacation on dvd both star Jimmy Stewart. They are both great classic comedies. But I love old movies so I guess that explains why I like them lol.

Last night I ordered:
King of Queens: Season 1 (paid $29.99 from Columbia House so that I could fulfill my contract)
American Chopper: Season 1 ($21.00 from Ebay)
Frasier: Season 1 ($21.00 from Ebay)
Today I got:
24: Season 1 ($20.00 from Sam's Club). I bought this as a blind buy, because I have never actually watched the show but I figured that for $20 I couldn't go wrong.
King of the HIll: Season 1 ($15.00 from Sam's Club). I've been wanting this one for a while now and I couldn't pass up this price.

With it. The one without was more expensive, go figure
Anyways, the march continues with
The Godfather: DVD Collection added. This is a total blind buy, but I couldn't pass up the $40 price tag, when everywhere else I've seen it has been at least $70

Is "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" a Studio Classic? Did Fox ever release it on DVD yet? Because it would be rather weird to have its sequel (Hush Hush, Sweet Charlotte) out before it. They did Peyton Place, then Return to Peyton Place, but I haven't seen Baby Jane on DVD anywhere. Maybe it's OOP.
I got my "Sunrise" via the "Best Picture Collection" boxset, which was essentially "Sunrise", and the first 3 in the Studio Classics: All About Eve, The Gentleman's Agreement, and How Green Was My Valley. It would've been too late for me to do the proof-of-purchase thing, as I bought the boxset two months ago and IIRC, the proof-of-purchase thing ended in 2003.
My mom has Song of Bernadette, and I can't remember which number that one is, so I didn't include it in my list.
I'll probably get "Anna and the King of Siam" and "The Best of Everything" next. "Anna..." probably so I could compare it to "The King and I", and "The Best of Everything" because of its roots to the short-lived soap of the same name. It was an ABC soap that aired from March to September in 1970.

Hi,
Warner Brothers is the studio that released Whatever happened To Baby Jane. and 20th Century Fox released Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. Warner Brothers released it on dvd in their first dvd wave in 1999, and it stayed in print until last year and Warner Brothers is re-releasing it this year with new special features. Also Bette Davis said in her biography, "that she enjoyed Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, much more than she enjoyed Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" Because Miss Davis, never got a long with Joan Crawford so when she was able to work with Olivia De Havilland one of her long time friends and next door neighbor, she was overjoyed. Also once on a Talk Show, Bette Davis was making fun of Pepsi drinks, and Joan Crawfords husband was on the board of Directors of Pepsi. Just an interesting tidbit.

Ah, I remember the Pepsi stuff. Perhaps one of the best lines in "Mommie Dearest" was during the Pepsi boardroom thing.
" DON'T F*CK WITH ME, FELLAS! This ain't my first time at the rodeo."
Of course, the other best line in "Mommie Dearest" is the infamous:
NO WIRE HANGERS... EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!
When's Baby Jane going to come out? I may pick that up along with Sweet Charlotte.

Movie Review:
A cultish horror favorite, 1962's What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? will make you think twice before hungrily unveiling a covered plate of food. Bette Davis stars as Jane Hudson, a onetime child actress and singer. As an elderly woman, she wishes to revive her vaudevillian career, but she has become a grotesque caricature of her former self. Over the years as her star faded, the star of her older sister Blanche (Joan Crawford) rose, outshining the career of the has-been Baby Jane. Jane was relegated to minor roles, which she only won when Blanche demanded that she be awarded them. The film opens years after a calamitous car accident leaves Blanche in a wheelchair, with no one to care for her except the increasingly insane and sadistic Jane and their servant, Norman. Trying to punish Blanche for her years of success, Jane tortures the housebound woman, slowly trying to starve her to death, all the while attempting to recapture the fame of her youth. This dark drama also stars Victor Buono as the hefty pianist who answers Jane's ad for an accompanist, hoping to milk some money off the demented old woman. Both Buono and Davis were nominated for Oscars for their roles in this suspenseful and somewhat sick thriller that exploited well the real-life antagonism between Davis and Crawford, while at the same time rejuvenated both their careers. --Jenny Brown
This is all and all a terrific movie.

You guys will never guess what movie I bought today, I've only gone on about it for a few weeks.
That's right I got
Team America: World Police, big surprize huh? When I was getting it I was singing the theme song because I was so excited. When I got up to the checker I told myself, I better watch my mouth. Anyways I got the unrated version which, I think is better because there's more stuff. I haven't watched it yet, probably will tomarrow, I'll tell you how that goes. I'm just so glad that it finally-- came out, the first time I watched it was back in October 2004, so it's been a while.

Gawd, I love that movie. Not one of Audrey's best (that would have to be Breakfast at Tiffany's), but fun nonetheless.

Yes it was a fun movie! Hepburn's a charm, and it was a plus how Fred was in it! I watched it last night, or the afternoon after we bought the movie! Of course, I don't think anything could top Breakfast at Tiffany's IMO. Maybe My Fair Lady? But I haven't gotten around to <strike>watching</strike> buying it.

I know. I find it funny that I can watch The Sound of Music in the same amount of time as I could My Fair Lady, but MFL seems much longer for some odd reason.
