I would choose...
Robin Hood
Great Mouse Detective
Oliver & Company
The Rescuers
The Rescuers Down Under
...for now because I haven't heard of future (better) releases for them.
I'd recommend Fun & Fancy Free because it's a childhood memory and I found it enjoyable at my current age.
For Hercules, we can all assume will arrive in 2007 (hopefully!) so I would wait on it. Although our patience with this movie never really helped and we bought the current DVD.
But I'll tell you right now...the one disc isn't great.

The ones that I have highlighted in bold are the current must haves as they are the ones that are unlikely to have a new release and are good movies.

I haven't seen all of those but i'd say that
The Rescuers, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, and Robin Hood are all must haves if they are movies you really like because they probably won't be having a new release anytime soon.

I am planning to buy some dvds this weekend. most of these dvds can be found at Wal-Mart. if there's any chance that there will be a 2-disc coming up then i'd rather wait. sorry guys, i'm not fond of reading reviews. i need comments from the disney fanatics here.
I would say that
Robin Hood and Black Cauldron are must haves
and Hercules and Three Calabaros are good pick ups
