Now that I have seen the cover full sized I like it even more! Hopefully the sequel will be as good as the cover is :P

And by the looks of it Phil Collins will be making yet another great soundtrack! I really enjoyed his music for Tarzan and Brother Bear :D

I like how the images look, but I haven't even watched the original Tarzan. I think I should do that before I watch Tarzan II. If I like the original, I'll probably see it.

Just saw the trailer on my Special Edition DVD of Tarzan and it looks frankly boring. This is a pure representation of Mister Stanton at the head of Disney Animation, a product aiming to the 4-7 years old audience, if you're older, this movie will be boring. That'is what sad actually with Disney, after a MuLAN sequel clearly made to put the Chinese heroine in the Princess line, here come the "exciting" adventure of the Lord of the Jungle... when he was young and made stupid animals imitations....

"sigh" thinking of the great plots possibles with the grown up Tarzan Lord of the Apes....... :(

Well you know many of these Disney movies were directed for children under 8. I mean they're family films, but be as that may it should be enjoyable for adults too. When I told my friend that I've seen the Incredibles he said "oh isn't that for children?" I told him heck no, anybody would enjoy that movie.

No i didn't laugh at any single scene in the trailers, all those gags have been previously seen in others productions...

And for the aiming of the movie, Disney's true classics like Dumbo or Snow WHite or even the recent one as Hercules or Tarzan or Ariel, first aime for kids, true but the realisation and the care in the production permit to the adults not to fell asleep. This is absent from the DTV productions as the only goal is to make profit of the popularity of the characters and make quick bucks (except rare exceptions: LionKingandahalf and PeterPan2) especially the last released: Mulan2 transform the brave Mulan in a wannabe in the Princess line, Tarzan2 which focus on a young Tarzan (nonsense) to appeal to the 4-7 kids...

David Stanton clearly said his (sad) point of view in an interview last year, that Disney's only and main target should be the children between 4 and 7, on the direct opposition with Walt's idea to address his productions to the child in every one of us ( no matter the age)...

Thanks Luke for posting the cover art to this sequel! :)
(from the front page...)

it's a bit plain, but it matches who Tarzan is. (the gliding on the trees, that is. ;))

I remember after seeing Tarzan that I felt there was so much unsolved that I wished there was sequel! Simlar to why Netty wanted a Brother Bear 2, but instead we got a crappy Tarzan and Jane movie and a dumb t.v. series. This looks a little bit better I guess but I wanted to see more grown up Tarzan and his life more than what happened when he was little!
