I know that it is to late to change my prediction but I just realized that I predicted way to high for Howl's Moving Castle. And I'm changing my Chicken Little prediction to $ 160.

Some new and revised predictions, hope I'm doing this correctly:
Roving Mars $8 M
Antarctica $53 M
The Greatest Game Ever Played $47 M
Sky High $65 M
Herbie: Fully Loaded $118 M
Chicken Little $145 M
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe $325 M
Roving Mars and Antarctica are tough to predict right now, they'll probaply change later. I upped my predictions for Greatest Game, Sky High and Narnia, because for all three the footage that has come out since my predicitons were made has been amazing and I think they'll all do well. I brought my prediction for Chicken Little down since I think the CG film is no longer a huge event. Looks like Disney is too late and missed out on the big bucks. I also brought down Herbie, I had it a little too high. I still think it will do over $100 million, simply because Disney's live action comedies have all done good the last few years (Princess Diaries 1 and 2, Pacifier, Freaky Friday)

Yep, you updated just perfectly, PatrickvD!
Time for an overall update, even if most Disney films are barely registering in the charts. <i>Howl's Moving Castle</i> opened in just 36 theaters for $427,987. That's about what <i>Spirited Away</i> made in its opening weekend (September 20-22, 2002 - $449,839) in ten less theaters. It could follow a similar pattern, but it's already expanding this weekend to a lot more theaters than <i>Spirited</i> had for a while in North America. <i>Herbie</i> should change that next Wednesday with its genuine open. (Do sneak previews count towards the gross?) Either way, let's make this Saturday the last day to revise <i>Herbie</i> predictions.
It looks like most of the top predictors for currently-playing movies have more or less been decided. <i>Aliens of the Deep</i> is still a question mark. If it grosses another $400,000, Pals falls out of the leader spot and pinkrenata takes first. Meanwhile, for underpredicting (<i>The Pacifier</i>) or overpredicting (<i>The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy</i>), the highest and lowest guesses for each are clearly going to come out on top. Our <i>Ice Princess</i> forecasts were much more accurate than most of the others, but still a bit on the high side.
<b>By Predicted Gross:</b>
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe $249.1 M
Chicken Little $153.1 M
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy $122.25 M (current gross: $49,605,344, closest - toonstuff, $75 M)
Herbie: Fully Loaded $83.6 M
The Shaggy Dog $77.7 M
The Pacifier $57.8 M (current gross: $111,722,699, closest - MickeyMousePal, $80 M)
Antarctica $55.5 M
Sky High $55.1 M
Valiant $49.5 M
Ice Princess $40.1 M (current gross: $24,271,873, closest - castleinthesky, $25 M)
Glory Road $36.6 M
The Greatest Game Ever Played $26.9 M
Howl's Moving Castle $17.3 M (current gross: $427,987, closest - pinkrenata/Jack/TheLittleMerman, $5 M)
Roving Mars $14.5 M
Aliens of the Deep $9.2 M (current gross: $5,843,106, closest - MickeyMousePal, $5 M)
Pooh's Heffalump Movie $28.9 M (final gross: $18,098,433, closest - Lucylover1986, $20 M)

I'm thinking maybe at the end of 2005, whoever had the most accurate predictions could win a prize, perhaps the DVD of their choice (up to $20) or so. But you'd have to have predicted at least half of the 12 films we'll have tracked by then, which means only people who predict the rest through the end of the year will have a chance to win.

I don't think I'll make it though. Anyway, I'm not sure how it works with the sneaks, according to Box Office Mojo, Herbie is in 800 sneaks coming sunday. My guess is they'll count too.

I think alot of people over-estimate Herbie Fully Reloaded. I mean aside from kids who are Disney fans(like me!

) I don't think any kids know who Herbie is even with this new movie.

Nice to see new entries, and all it took was the promise of a DVD!
I'm updating <b>Herbie: Fully Loaded</b> to $95 million.
Sofa, you got two predictions for <i>Shaggy Dog</i>. Let me know which one you want to keep in a new post, please. Thanks!

Who said they're watching because of Herbie?
Uhm, I would like to make a quick post on this thread (and no, not because I saw 'free DVD' on the front page) but because it is Herbie and after reading everyone else's predictions on this upcoming Disney movie, I thought it'd be fun to guess as well. So winning I am not seeking.
After seeing Ms. Lohan on Jay Leno and a clip of the movie, I would like to guess that it'd make $100 million. Yes, that much confidence in that skinny blonde
woman.
I would've guessed $110 million but after hearing on the radio what Disney did with edits on the raising her shirt neckline and all, I doubt that many guys would want to see it now. (ha ha!

)
and that is all.
(See, aren't longer posts with support so much better than those one-liners + an emoticon?

)
