Hi there!

I worked on Valiant in the UK and I can catagorically confirm that the movie was always 75ish minutes and no longer - the 109 running length must have been a mistake copied a heckuva lot of times!!!

As you guessed, there is no way on that budget that we'd have made 30 minutes to throw away!!

Well, I don't think you can get any more official than that! Thanks for confirming my suspicions and eliminating any dire need for Netty to pick up alternate cuts of the film.

Any stories on <i>Valiant</i> you can share? I know I'd be interested to hear anything about its production, since over here, there's been very little of substance on the film. Disney seems more interested in pushing the <i>Shrek</i> angle and hoping that <i>Chicken Little</i> succeeds and Pixar stays there for them.

WELL..........its too bad that its not a two disc but oh well. The cover is ok but not great and also says it will have fastplay.


BTW how was this? I missed it.

That was really fast. Wasn't it released in theatres a little more than a month ago?

As a matter of fact I don't even remember seeing it in my theaters. When is it due to be released on dvd? I thought it looked good and wanted to see it.

Yea, that is weird how they made a cover for it! But I guess "CGI" is really popular, they decided this would go straight to DVD Asap! Yea, magicalwands, Valiant was released August 19, 2005.

But an interesting cover, nonetheless. Let's wait for features!

Ugh! That is one awful cover! It looks like it was done in photoshop by a seventh grader.

Okay, that was a bit harsh. Let just put it this way: I don't like the DVD cover.

That cover just makes me cringe, "From The Producer of Shrek and Shrek 2" then underneath "Walt Disney Pictures"....

"From the producers of Shrek and Shrek 2" is eye candy. People will know those were hit films, so psychologically they'll apply it to Valiant and ka-ching.....

Am I the only person here that liked this movie?

I liked the movie, but not enough to buy it, especially with such meager bonus features. It was a fun adventure, but it is not one that I would watch again and again.

Nope!
I will probably be picking up this movie along with Reba season two.

I never got to see it. It kind of came and went here really quickly. So I'm looking forward to the dvd release so I can finally see it.

I would think $30 for so little is asking too much. If that's a single disc $20 maximum..... (plus those don't sound like too creative bonus features if you ask me)

$30.00 is just the asking price, you'll find it on the shelves for $20.00.
