I thought that ABC might be a bit forgiving for the ratings as they placed it up against some mighty competition and since the premiere did so well. Hopefully, it'll air on a better schedule for the second season. It's such a fun little show. Any word on a DVD/BD release for the first season? I'd like to pick it up.

I can't believe Alan Menken wasn't even nominated for Galavant where he wrote a bunch of great songs while the Lopezes got two nominations for writing two horrible songs.

What were the Lopezes nominated for?

Either way, awards and nominations has more to do with "push" these days than anything. And we know Disney isn't going to push Alan Menken anymore, sadly.

They were nominated for "Kiss an Old Man" from The Comedians and "Moving Pictures" from The Oscars telecast.

It's really shameful they didn't get anything. I don't really get what it's the deal with Disney, suddenly turning its back on Menken after he practically saved Disney in the 80s/90s.

Season 2 premieres on January 3rd.

I hope Disney puts this on DVD now that it's getting a second season. And I'm still praying for Menken to get that Emmy. Please!

Menken needs and deserves that Emmy. Him not even beeing nominated for a musical series like this is outrageous. And the horrible way Disney (and especially Lasseter) have been treating him in later years? Scandalous, to say the least. I still hope they will realize what a valuable man he is and give him the proper credit and treatment that he deserve.

Alan Menken is in his 60's now. Who knows how many years he got left as an active composer before he might retire? Disney should take this into consideration if they want him to score any new animated movies or turn movies like Pocahontas, Hunchback, Hercules or Enchanted into stage/Broadway musicals.

That was brilliant. If this doesn't lead to a third season, I hope we at least get both seasons on DVD.

Oh gosh, this was even better with the lyrics THIS needs an Emmy!

They will be playing some episodes from season 1 on the night before the season 2 premiere. I'd hoped they'd re-run all of season 1, but I guess that would be 4 hours. At least it's likely they'll re-run the season 1 finale, which I missed.
