Here are some shots of them filming at BC Legislature in Victoria. They are also looking for young (aged 16-23) local musicians for a shoot on Monday, June 23, in Victoria.

Couldn't they go with the sort-of-official name of Adam for the Beast? Or even a new name? Something other than King Beast, which sounds completely absurd. I know they keep saying Adam isn't the official name, but since this whole project just sounds very fanfiction-y, why not use it? Same with the Evil Queen. Just call her Grimhilde (or even Regina if they want).

Also, Auradon's modern-day luxuries? So this takes place in a House of Mouse kind of universe and we can expect to see them using cell phones and Ipads? I was kind of hoping this would take place in a fairytale-esque land. Now it just sound even more like Ever After High.

I actually wonder if they are going to explain how the villains are still alive in this movie. Because it's okay if they ignore the sequels, but some of the villains like Maleficent, Evil Queen Grimhilde and Ursula actually died in their original movies.

By the way, Dopey has a son? Seriously, I really want to see these other parents even more now.

I know that, in the "Disney universe" they villains are still alive as seen in the House of Mouse. My guess is that in that world the the movies are just movies and the characters are "actors". They are truly as each other are but what happens in the movies is just acting: telling the tale.

However, Descendants is another thing.

Also, it could have been interesting why Maleficent and Jafar didn´t get together as it has always been implied they are a couple. At least, in the Kingdom Hearts game Jafar is second in command.

Wait, are they calling Beast, Beast in his human form? And not giving him a human name. I get trying to connect it to the animated movie but that just seems odd and I know Disney has denied Adam as his name before but couldn't they have used that?

Kristen looks pretty cool as Maleficent.

Scarily enough, I like how she looks more than Angelina Jolie...

^^Yeah it is.

And I have to admit: Kristin does look good as Maleficent. No way better than Angelina, but good. It's just so distracting if you are a fan of her. And Mal's costume does look better in that shot. The only costume I like is Carlos because since his mom is a fashion designer, it makes sense and I did imagine the costume to be like that. But, Jay's is way too terrible because it's WAY WAY too modern and it's lacking. Evie's is just random and has no connection to the Evil Queen. And Mal's colors are great, but too modern as well.

I'm also glad to see the Blue Fairy from OUAT as Belle. But no Prince Adam?

Kinda looks like a combo of Maleficent and Rita from Power merged into one

Off-topic, but I was just thinking about how much I would love to have a Disney covers album by Kristen Chenoweth. She'd do well with Snow White's songs, in particular.

She looks good as Maleficent, like I expected. The costume, like all the others, is trashy though. I'm interested to see a picture of Kathy Najimy in costume.

I guess this might be interesting for what it is, I suppose, but it still beggars belief that it got passed by Disney?? Like, who thought it would be a crazy good idea to create this? Really just don't know.

They used to make weird movies like this all the time back in the 80's didn't they? I don't think it should be considered "canon" by any means, but it looks kinda fun.

That's exactly what I've always thought about 'Once Upon a Time'!

Whatever anybody’s feelings on Once Upon a Time, it's very clear the two entities aren’t even in the same ballpark. Even trying to compare them boggles the mind, sort of like comparing Disney's The Little Mermaid to the GoodTimes video.

Besides, OUAT obviously was a good idea, considering it’s a hit show when hit shows are in short supply. This forum...

Why shouldn't I compare them? They're both using (or adulterating, if you want) characters owned by Disney.

The show may borrow elements from Disney, since they have popularized certain images for many of the most well-known fairy tales, but that's a far cry from this show where Maleficent, Beast and Belle are meant to be direct continuations from Disney films. Snow White, the Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, etc. are fairy tale characters, not Disney characters.

Moreover, the two are obviously not equal in quality. You can hate the show for all I care, but that isn't debatable.

So this new picture pretty much spoils the ending of the movie.

Not that it was that big of a surprise . We also get our first good look at prince Ben, Belle and Beast's son.

So, I think it's pretty obvious Ben and Mal fall in love and she chooses to become good. I think most of us figured something like that would happen.

I do have to say I love the 'royal' costumes. Mal's dress is very pretty.
