I wish they would re-release The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Book.

Actually I could pick up the companion book at a comic book store for $18. They have 2 copies that are brand new. It's located at a shop about 15 minutes away from me.

Fantagraphics is printing all the Don Rosa stuff now so it might be within a couple years, though I'm hoping they decide to skip ahead or something.

disneyboy, I would get those copies of the companion. They are hard-to-find gems (I suspect it will still be a few years before Fantagraphics re-releases that). If nothing else, you could probably sell them for a profit online.

I have my copy of the album pre-ordered and I am excited to receive it next week.

I've recently begun doing Disney pin trading as my wife and I have WDW annual passes this year. I keep searching for Scrooge pins as he's my favorite character as well. I've bought two older ones on eBay. I collect the ducks in general. I've of course found a ton of Donalds, a few with the nephews, even a Darkwing Duck one. There are surprisingly a number in circulation with Ludwig Von Drake even, but none with Scrooge. I've gotten some luck by finding pins online that come from Disneyland Paris since he is bigger in Europe still.

This means that The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck can never get published again! :glare: If anyone is interested in buying it, I suggest you do it now while you still can. I recommend getting the Deluxe Edition.

Disney continues full speed ahead with their woke agenda.

So glad my comic book reading days are
long over. My favorites were Disney, Archie and Harvey brand comics. I was never into superheroes. Marvel and DC mean nothing to me so it doesn’t bother me how woke they’ve gotten.

I have every issue of Walt Disney Comics Digest (1968-1976) and they are an absolute treasure trove of new material from the 1970s (including early Walt Disney World stories) and reprints from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Good for the heads up, Sotiris. This is one of the things I've always been meaning to get around to picking up, but a lot of things end up on the backburner for me. Suppose I need to make it a priority now.

Grateful to own Fantagraphic's complete Don Rosa library series, which features all of his stories in order of completion. I believe all of the Life and Times chapters are in volumes 4 and 5.

So would you (or anyone who's reading this and could give advice about getting the comics in full) recommend those over The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck that Sotiris linked to above? I was just thinking about maybe buying it some time soon, and was reading below The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and was sort of disappointed that it's not "all" of the Don Rosa comics like I thought it was from that title. I'd like to have everything if I'm going to buy something, so maybe I should look into the Fantagraphic volumes you referred to here. I assume the Rosa Library series have everything listed here , right? Including the ones that are listed as following Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Gyro Gearloose, and/or The Junior Woodchucks along with all the Scrooge ones that aren't included in the The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck as well, right? (Sorry for all the questions, I'm looking through Amazon, Wiki, and Google for answers right now as I type this. )

I think the only thing The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck might have that it doesn't (possibly?) is the stuff where Rosa talks about each comic following them in the book, from what I've read about it. What makes the Deluxe different from the standard The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck?

Yes, if you want all of Don Rosa's stories, it's worth investing in Fantagraphic's library releases, you'll get all of them in 10 volumes. The Life and Time book only has the 12 chapters and 3 side stories, but that tends to be enough for plenty of fans. I personally love Rosa's story telling and how he builds on Carl Barks' Scrooge stories, making a few direct sequels to some of those, so I gladly devoured those volumes.

Although checking Amazon now, I'm not sure if all of the volumes are still in print. Some look to be, and they're priced higher than when I bought them from Amazon a few years back.

I don't have the deluxe edition of Life and Times, but each of the Rosa Library titles do have additional commentary from him about each story and various parts of an autobiography that he completes throughout the series, as well as alternate panels, rejected pages, and even a couple of outlines for stories that he never got to complete for whatever reason. I think you get your money's worth from those volumes.

Thank you so much for responding! Yeah, I noticed a few of the 10 were "unavailable" on Amazon, but maybe they might come back in stock intermittently? IDK, either way, maybe I can get those few via used copies and/or other sellers.
