Is it okay if I ban you from you using the angry face ever again, TsWade? I actually would have no problem if the mods deleted that emoticon, because it's really an eyesore to look at.

In any case, I think Mickey Mouse Works morphed into House of Mouse, so it wasn't exactly cancelled. Meanwhile, I remember House of Mouse being given extremely minimal advertising. In fact, I remember I never even heard of the show until I happened to see the Three Caballeros episode one morning.

I think this new Mickey Mouse show will do a lot better, because I imagine Disney will give it a better timeslot and more advertising.

Well, I personally believe that Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are all fine for what they are, though I'll have to get used with the character design for Goofy. I do love the design for Pluto. As for Pete, it looks like we can start calling him "Peg-Leg Pete" again!

Though it looks like these brand new Mickey Mouse shorts aren't the only things we have to look forward to. Apparently, according to this, it looks like the makers of Where's My Water? and Where's My Perry? are at it again. This time, they're making a new app called Where's My Mickey? This app will be based on the upcoming shorts, and it will be available for the iPhone, Android, tablets, etc. This website features behind the scenes galleries of character and level designs, as well as a trailer for the app. I have to be honest, I did not see this one coming. It looks like it could be fun!

Man, so much to look forward to next week. Just glad our favorite Mouse is back.

That was cute and funny. As for Goofy, well I kind of like the Goofy that wears clothes rather than a Dippy Dawg version, but whatever. It's not like it's his official clothes to change the merchandise. Also, Pete is back as a bad guy. YAAAAAY! Or should I say BOOOOOOOOOOO!

Dang it! I knew I was going to get trampled by your supreme talent of searching. Though, I probably would have greater difficulty in trying to find that same article from Jim Hill.

If there's anything that could bring strong ratings for these new Mickey Mouse shorts, it would probably be the "Where's My Mickey" app. I mean, I believe it's too perfect of a scenario. Release a batch of new Mickey cartoons, then play the brand new app that's based on the shorts.

Or, vice versa, because the app actually comes out before the shorts.

So, I know most of us would prefer fully animated, traditional Mickey shorts ala Runaway Brain, but I do honestly think this is what Mickey needs right now. I think these will be very successful with the demographic they're aimed at. And I'm glad to see Disney putting quite a bit of promotion into them. I'm really looking forward to seeing these on TV.

Well, in fairness, he has had that peg leg in the Epic Mickey games. But it was on his right leg, like so:


In the new series, however, it's on his left leg:


If I recall, that was one reason why they had discontinued giving him a peg leg in the first place; they couldn't decide which leg was the bad one. It kept flipflopping back and forth between left and right.

Actually, I don't know why, but the Pete that looks like it will be in the new show reminds me of how he did in a car commercial made by Disney in the 1950s:

That Goofy character design is EPIC.

He looks dumber than ever. Absolutely awesome.

They are bringing Peg Leg Pete again.I hope Jim Cummings will do the honors of voicing him as he always does.I wonder if Pete has gotten his own star on the Walk Of Fame because if you think about it he is Disney's oldest villain.He was first in the Alice shorts,later the Oswald cartoons,and later became Mickey's prime nemesis.Pete should be considered the longest veteran of all Disney villains.Whether he is a straight up villain or just a plain jerk we all love to hate Pete.

Cummings has only been voicing Pete since "Goof Troop", I believe.

Oh, I forgot about that! Okay, so I was about three years off. Still, it was kind of interesting that they stopped giving Pete the peg leg ever since the 1950s. I always thought he stopped wearing one ever since Goof Troop.

Going back to the clip Sotiris posted, maybe it's me, but I'm not sure if that was Bret Iwan doing the Mickey voice. I feel like there's something different about that voice, like perhaps they used a different voice actor. That is, unless, Bret came up with a new vocal technique for these shorts.

Pete also wore a peg leg in "The Three Musketeers".I think its just rarer these days to see him with it but on occasion they will give him it back.

I know Jim Cummings started voicing Pete in the 90's but he has gotten so synonmous with Pete I just can't imagine him not doing it.Pete is just one of his most famous characters to do and Mr.Cummings has a long list of voicing accomplishments.

This new series will definitely be a step up from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. And this new show's got a wealth of talent behind it.
