I just hope we get the option of buying the rest of Walt's classic animation library - - this missing TV material is awesome!

I'd take a Ludwig Von Drake set no matter the color of the tin!! Something colorful would be appropriate, though, since Ludwig helped bring color TV awareness to the masses.
The Zorro and Oswald tins were not silver, so why not?

A documentary on Paul Frees would be cool to compliment the Ludwig set! Leonard...?
Great way to continue!

Wow! I have a lot of things to add to this conversation....Seems to me that Disney would market and sell their huge success of the 1950's and 60's with better quality releases of than what have popped up the last few years! Sure we get great copies of "Poppins", "Pollyanna", "Davy Crockett", but, what about the wonderful, televison specials..."Horsemasters", "Mooncussers" and
"Daniel Boone", which are solid in their own right. That is what the next wave should include.

Exactly. They also need to finish the serieses that they started like ELFEGO BACA...SPIN AND MARTY etc. Lets hope if they dont include those in the treasures series they will pick them up in the new Wonderful Wold of Disney set.

Those just seem to be reissues of existing DVDs in new packaging for direct mail. It would be far more advantageous to encourage the continuation of this line - - or I fear these things will never come to pass. There is already an established expectation for the Treasures content...

I'm really surprised that "Disneyland Showtime" hasn't popped up on a Treasures set yet - - The Haunted Mansion is still such a large part of the theme park scene - - and here we have Kurt Russell showing us the behind-the-scenes of its creation (not to mention performances by The Osmonds, EJ Peaker and The Kids of the Kingdom!!!). This "Wonderful World of Disney" episode is one of my very favorites!

Perhaps because Disneyland Showtime was made in 1970 after Walt's death it was decided not to include it. But some post-Walt stuff has made it into the line before so you never know. The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World would be another excellent park related Treasures choice.
I was more annoyed that an excerpt was not included on The Haunted Mansion's DVD since part of "From Pirates of the Caribbean to The World of Tomorrow" was on the first Pirate's movie DVD.

We still need all of that episode on the same Walt Disney Treasures Disneyland Vol. 3 DVD... The Tomorrowland portion is so cool!

Do you think we will see WDT go blue? if that happens I would like them to correcting the following on the animated sets:
Window box every single cartoon that was made in 1:33:1 or 1:37;1
Include the proper scope ratio of TOOT, WHISTLE, PLUNK AND BOOM and those two Humphrey Bear cartoons.
Make the Donald scope cartoons able to be displayed in proper ratio on tv so on dont have to watch them on computer (yes computer display more of the picture frame than the TV does).
Include all existing Original titles Columbia, UPA, RKO titles that still exist.
Correct the name of Just Mickey to its proper Fiddling Around name.
Include the original version of Three Little Pigs (R2 has this) and the clock cleaners (unsure about R2version).
add play all feature to Complete Goofy and Mickey Mouse BW vol 1.

And don't forget the very serious flaw on Mickey Mouse In Living Color 2, though I seem to be the only one who is really bothered by it. The dialogue in Runaway Brain is out of sync! Other people have mentioned it before, but seems most aren't bothered by it, but it drives me nuts!
Anyway, aside from anything with original animation, I'd really like to see Disneyland Showtime in a set, severely. And also the EPCOT opening special with Danny Kaye. They could easily put together a great EPCOT set, with or without double dipping. I know a lot of folks are sticklers for the "must be made during Walt's day" rule, even though that rule has been broken a few times, but there are so many excellent potential sets if they'd just get past that. I mean, a Disney WORLD themed set would be awesome, along with an EPCOT one, like I said, and there were some awesome episodes of the anthology show in the '80's, or at least collector worthy, like Totally Minnie, Fluppy Dogs, Mickey's 60th, Muppets at Walt Disney World...(which would be great in a WDW set, as would the Mouseketeers at Walt Disney World).

It is indeed! So much footage of what used to be there. Watching "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories and Magic" it looks as if the episode (or at least parts of it) has been restored and looks far superior to the excerpt on the Black Pearl DVD.
What else could the 3rd Disneyland volume include? An expert of "40 Pounds of Trouble"? Or what of the Progress Reports broadcast on the Disneyland TV show?

I want point out I only have R2 version of MMLCvol2 so Runaway Brain error might have been corrected on the R2 version , for example R2 version of first Silly S. have the original Jews paddler sequence (on Three Little Pigs) which is not on R1 verison.
Can you tell me at what minute that sound sync error happens on Runaway Brain? so I can check my set to be 100% sure?

If I recall correctly, the entire short is out of sync.

It's hard to believe that the Ludwig VonDrake shows (save the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" segment and "Symposium on Popular Songs") have not been available since the clamshell VHS era - - and back then they were at "rental" prices, before "sell-through."
The vast majority have not been available at all on home video! So odd, since these were very highly rated TV and constantly repeated shows of the baby boom era (same with the Ranger shows).
These fine programs with original classic Disney animation bridges are ripe for rediscovery.

Those old Wonderful World of Disney VHS rental clamshells sure go for a lot on the aftermarket sites. Definitely still an audience for them.

Maybe if we all send letters about this, something may happen? I realize realistically most likely not as Disney will do what it wants to do, but it sure beat sitting around doing nothing, talking about all the things we wish would come out on DVD!

Writing letters most certainly does help. They always read their mail/feedback and listen and respond accordingly.
After all, if you really want something, it is a lot better to do something constructive about it (like letter-writing) than to just sit around, do nothing and just grouse 24/7 on a fan forum. It's true.

Thank you, that's all I'm saying. In fact I think I'll start drafting my letter on this very issue. I hope others here will join me as numbers are what would get this going.
