Digital Bits got confirmation from a reliable source that this is being released 3/16. Didn't see that posted on here, but might be better known already. Sorry if duplicate news!

I love it!
I really like the concept for the Brazil cover, but I don't know, I think Tiana looks a little odd in my opinion. I'm sure it's not the final version though, they usually fix it up a bit before the official one comes out. Anyway, I hope the release is March 16th! I really liked this movie a lot.

Good to have a real source. I'm eager to know what the Bonus Features will be. I hope there's going to be plenty of Bonus Features

Getting slightly OT, UD's Disney DVD Release Schedule is already long overdue for an update.

So, we've basically got deleted scenes, an audio commentary, a music video, and the promotional featurettes we've already seen on the website? Well, I for one and most excited for the deleted scenes and the audio commentary!

Ditto.
Though, personally, having already seen all of those promotional tidbits, I would like to see some other things to, like maybe a look at composing the music, scrapped story ideas and songs, a history at how they brought back hand-drawn animation to Disney. A tribute to Roy Disney would also be swell, though I expect we'll see that sort of featurette on the Fantasia Blu-Ray, since that was more his family's baby.

Maybe those featurettes will be longer on the dvd/BD... if not, that is disappointing.

Interesting bonus features. I can't wait to get the movie. ^_^

I hope the DVD has most of those Bonus Features because it won't be fair for those that don't have BluRay.

Well, it could be that the featurettes are different/longer on the final dvd, I presume Disney aren't stupid enough to release the featurettes that has already been unleashed on their website.
But otherwise, I can't wait for the audio commentary!

It will probably be like the Snow White DVD where only a couple of music videos and previews will be on Disc One while Disc 2 is for strictly Blu Ray.
I'm not bothered by that so much as I am bothered by a lack of a true making of featurette. I'm a bit let down because this is a first time release and considering that it's a deluxe release, the list of bonus features suggest nothing but staggered fluff pieces about Disney's first black princess and the return of Disney animation. (I should've predicted as much.)
I can understand if this was like the 2nd or 3rd time this movie was getting released on DVD. But come on...first 2D animated film in over 5 years and this is what we get? I know this aint a Diamond of Plantinum Edition but sets like Brother Bear got classier treatments despite how little it made at the box office.
I can only assume that it's the times...or possibly a means to cut costs for creating BluRay/DVD combos.
I know...I know...I should just wait till we actually know more before whining!

It could still be that the final dvd will contain more bonus features than those who are already confirmed. I remember the Home on the range dvd wasn't promoted to have a audio commentary, but had on the final dvd.

So I leave for a week and a half for university and I come back to all this! Wow I guess you do miss a lot if you leave for a bit...
Finally confirmation for the Bluray/DVD (on front page of UD btw)! I was beginning to worry about Disney not confirming anything! All I can say is FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm kind of disappointed in the lack of special features since they sound like the same exact videos we got online (maybe extended versions or something like that), but I was expecting a collector's edition or...I don't know, but this was not it. But I guess its better than nothing!

Just as I predicted from the box, it will be exactly like the Bolt release. I'll pass until a better set is released (I hope I don't have to wait for an anniversary) as I'm tired of these barebones releases.

Who knows when that'll be?

I hope for a bonus DVD at WalMart or Target or Best Buy or something like that which would include at least most of the extras not on the regular DVD, but I doubt it.
This is Disney's way of pushing their new home entertainment format the jerks! Well the jokes on them because I ain't crossing over for some lame extras!

Hopefully eventually I'll get the Art Of book, so I'll have a lot more info than the DVD will provide in terms of bonus features. Will whatever online videos you're talking about be online if they're on the Blu-ray? And the Movie Surfers segments will still be online...so yay for YouTube!
