Does anyone think we'll get a re-issue of the BD as a combo? (like with Cars?)

I would love to pick this up but not as a BD and digital copy combo only. Don't get me wrong, Toys R Us just had it on sale for $19.99 last weekend but at this point without a player it doesn't make much sense for me to pick it up right now.

In that case...yeah I would wait....I don't think they would Vault it anytime soon anyway.....although I'm not sure what/why they would re-release with a combo pack...and if they did it would only be disc 1 of the 2-disc dvd set currently available....if you don't already have the DVD for A bug's life wait on it....and also if you do have the DVD...you could get an $8 coupon by sending off the Proof of purchase tab of your Bug's Life DVD if you have that....and get a coupon via the email once they recieve your proof of purchase stub...

I think (I swore I saw anyway) Cars was originally released in just BluRay but has since been rereleased in a combo pack (in a gift set form). So that leaves A Bug's Life and Ratatouille as the only two Pixar films that do not have Combo Pack releases. Hopefully that would change cuz it would be unfair at this point to have all the other Pixar films be combo packs and not these two.

Ok, so now I have the coupon in my e-mail unprinted. I'll keep it there for now and wait and see if they end up releasing it as a combo like with Cars.

Oh, and I got the 1999 collector's edition . I got it used.

@toonaspie: Good observation. Since A Bug's Life and Ratatouille are the only two Pixar films without a combo pack and since the Cars BD was re-released as one in the gift set, one can only hope those two will see a re-release in the near future.

I have the 2003 collector's edition. What's the difference between the two double-disc dvds?

If you already own the original Collector's Edition, there's no reason to "upgrade" - you really wouldn't be "upgrading" very much, since the only new stuff you'd get is a quick promo and an uninteresting game.

Disney Germany confirmed, that 'a bug's life' will be released here on december 16 on blu-ray. I assume that all others non-US-countries will get it (finally) as well!

So now apparently there is a combo pack of A Bug's Life with a Blu Ray and DVD! They never even announced this. I only knew about it when I saw it at Best Buy but they were selling for $29.99. I'm hoping I can find a better deal than that.

If anyone knows of any. Lemme know. Thanx.
