My Secret Santa Receiver,
Well I just found out that the item I was going to get I can't get now until after Christmas so I've cancelled it. Thankfully I had a back-up plan so I'll go with that and this will be going out soon.

So Dave, I'm thinking your grid should maybe be reposted and subsequently updated here for people to follow more easily. While I don't get to participate in this, I imagine there's some excitement to be found in the process of eliminating potential Secret Santas. It's also fun to see all the different random pairings. Thanks for doing that and for keeping it up to date.

Only nine more mailing days to receive in time for Christmas. And only 11 of 29 confirmed receipts. I really hope that number takes a sharp rise over the next few days! If you haven't already shipped out to your assigned recipient, you should absolutely try to do that in the next few days. Just about all of the recommended windows I provided close within the next three days.

My mom just called to tell me that my amazon.com orders had arrived this morning and also a nice package from New Jersey and inside Emett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas and Let it snow - the Christmas album by Michael Bublé!

Since it's from New Jersey and the one who sent it is called Albert, I'd say that our favorite Escapay is my Secret Santa!!!
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!
I've wanted Emett Otter for a very long time and I stumbled upon the Bublé Christmas album while surfing amazon and liked it a lot when I listened to the litte clips they have.

I won't be able to actually see my gift till Friday when I get home since I'm at college right now, but again, Thank you so so so much and merry Christmas (and I hope you get a Tardis for Christmas  ! :santa:

Merry Christmas Reyquila!!!
Thanks man!!! Loved the book!!! Can't wait for your surprise!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!
Thanks for the extras!!! The card is lovely!!!

Yay, it got to Germany sooner than the at-most-it'll-take-14-days estimate the post office girl (who was actually an old high school friend that I hadn't seen since graduation, so it was a nice little reunion for us) told me! She even said, "It's going to Germany and they're good to us (our postal service) so it may get there sooner". :D

Glad to hear you like your gifts, it was either those or "Pushing Daisies: Season One" (which is why I kept asking for info about the DVDs, trying to see if you said you actually had it or not, and since you said you saw the pilot five times, I figured you did. But don't worry, I'm still interested in the series!)

I can't wait until you see the card I included, it actually has a (rather pathetic) drawing of a TARDIS inside. :D

And nothing to report on the receiving end here. But right now, I'm just glad Dottie got (or is getting, depending on how you look at it) her gift. 'Tis better to give than to receive, after all. For example, I'd rather give someone a bloody nose than receive it. :P

Now I can't wait to see that card.
I think in the weeks leading up to Christmas all postal services try extra hard to make all the packages arrive on time before Christmas Eve (why that only works once a year for a few weeks remains a mystery, I guess), but yours was still really fast though.

And I got Pushing Daisies when it was released back in September, but I am glad you're still interested in the show. I think you'd like it. It's just really quirky.

I wonder who's gonna post that he/she got his/her gift tomorrow. Not even half of all the people who signed up have received their gifts yet.

If only they were that efficient the rest of the year!

"Quirky" is my middle name!

Actually it's Ray, but doncha think "Albert Quirky Gutierrez" has a better ring to it?

I predict that...

I won't be posting I got my gift tomorrow.

It's more fun when my predictions are wrong...

I got my Secret Santa gift in the midst of a mad rush today. I started off this morning taking an Ethics final, then I headed over to Best Buy to get some last-minute gifts. I also needed to go to UM (which I'm transferring to next month) to see where exactly the Communications building was and what courses I should take. So after Best Buy and before UM, I stopped by my house for a minute to drop off the Best Buy stuff. Lo and behold, a package is waiting for me. With the aid of a trusty kitchen knife, I get the thing open, and inside I find two books I wanted: Stardust by Neil Gaiman and Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. There was also a booklight, two bookmarks, two pens, and a candy cane. So a big thank you to my Secret Santa, the one and only PixarFan2006 for the awesome package. Merry Christmas! :santa:

Still no gift for little Just at the Myself household. Mama and Papa Myself got gifts from some old friends, though, so we're still a fairly happy bunch. :D

After three days of searching (and searching [and SEARCHING]), I finally found the other part of my gift for my Secret Cindy Lou Who today, but not in time to get it shipped today. :( I've already denounced my honor as a (former) Scout, so I give my gentleman's honor that I will ship my package tomorrow, Expedited Shipping. It shall be in my SS's hands by Friday at the latest, as Bob as my witness! :D

Cheers,
JM :thumb:

Wait, really? To me, they seem slower... when I order movies from Blockbuster's online rental site, they usually arrive the next day... now it's taken 2 and even 3 days to get to my house. Even stuff I buy from Amazon takes significantly longer than during the rest of the year.

So maybe the post offices neglect my part of town? Because they sure don't seem faster to me!

And on the Secret Santa topic, I have both sent and received one so I'm done early. Now I get to sit back and watch all the other people post

Wow...I went out to the mailbox today to put some stuff in...but then I happened to chance a walk by the front door. and there's this GINORMOUS box there. and I saw the Amazon logo on the side...now I was expecting a couple things from Amazon...but nothing in a box like this. and I didnt recognize the address, so I figured this was it!!

I ran in and cracked it open ands there was the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts peeking out. The Layla 20th Anniversary box set! With a an adorable puppy card from Courtney (crunkcourt)

Thank you so much!!! :D

Sorry I'm a little late for saying this, but I am glad you like your gifts. I had a hard time finding any of the DVDs on your wishlist so I figured to get you books instead. Have fun reading your books and have a Merry Christmas :santa: .
