Mugglenet.com wrote:David Heyman discusses HBP, DH in Los Angeles
As we initially told you last week, Potter producer David Heyman appeared at the Apple Store in Santa Monica, CA's Third Street Promenade last night. Over 100 fans showed up to ask him questions - including MuggleNet reader Andrew W.
Thanks to him we now have a report from the Q&A where David answered, among other things, whether or not composer John Williams would return for Deathly Hallows. Heyman revealed that they had spoken with Williams specifically about Part 2 and will try to get him if they can fit it into Williams' busy schedule.
Will putting Hooper on Part 1 and Williams on Part 2 make the film
not seem like a whole?

Well, a lot of interviews and such say that Yates is going for two different styles(a gritty, real world with prt. 1, and prt 2 having something closer to HBP), but Williams should probably do both.
And Bill Nighy is confirmed as Aberforth!

Reparo!
And Bill Nighy is confirmed as Scrimgeour!
Much better.
So, on the whole, pleased by "Half-Blood Prince". "Prisoner of Azkaban" remains my favorite, however.
Also, if I may say, I really don't see how Hooper copied Williams. Frankly, he should have used more of William's themes. Apart from a few moments, there wasn't much in the way of distinctive music. It's all very chamber music.

Even though there is a split, I expect both parts of the films to be 2 and a half hours long each. But I was reading Wikipedia (don't worry, it's a quote of a quote of a real article) stating otherwise:
Wikipedia wrote:According to Warner Bros. executive Alan F. Horn it will allow "an extra hour and a half to celebrate what this franchise has been and do justice to all the words and ideas in the amazing story."
And on the sort of bright side, Hooper is stepping down as composer! As long as Williams isn't busy, we're set! But we're not in the free-zone yet...

I was highly pleased with Half Blood Prince, a few plot subjects got altered/deleted due to Deathly Hallows....
There's talks bout Dumbledore's funeral startin off Deathly Hallows Pt 1, which would be very reasonable I guess in logic terms.
As for composer I'd go with John Willaims scorin both sets, I love his score in the 1st 3 films. Such magic in Mr. Willaims' scores, you feel the emotion that appears on screen.
I can see why the filmmakers didn't want to repeat themselves with the Hogwarts ambush battle in Half Blood, cause if we compare O.O.T.P to H.B.P and D.Hallows' battles we'd accuse the filmmakers of cheatin the audience of seein the same wand motions the same spells and such.
Can't wait to see Snapes past finally revealed and also lookin forward to seein "Battle For Hogwarts" it's gon'na be so exciting I'm ready for a teaser trailer.

I thought it was already confirmed that the funeral is completely out of the series?

Several weeks ago, a not-for-profit Potter symposium (MuggleMayhem) was held in the UK, and MuggleNet's own Jamie Lawrence was present to participate in some of the events.
Actor Joshua Herdman, who plays Goyle in the Potter films, was one of several actors from the franchise who hosted a Q&A session at the event. He revealed some particularly interesting Deathly Hallows information with fans that is worth reporting.
First, Herdman said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor. Many fans had speculated this is where the split would be, as it will provide quite a cliffhanger between films. Please note that - while this may be the current plan - the director and producers have made it clear that they could very well change where they had been thinking of splitting it if they thought a different point worked better after filming was complete.
Second, Herdman says that his character will be the one who dies instead of Jamie Waylett's character (Crabbe). This decision was made after Waylett was arrested and convicted of cannabis possession several months ago. Waylett is not expected to return for Deathly Hallows.

So is there simply no Crabbe at all then? What a pity, even if he is a minor character.

THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR SMOKING THE REEFER. He's just lucky he didn't end up running over some old guy while driving or eating one of his housemates. LEARN YOUR LESSONS, CHILDREN.

He should have listened to Jesus...
Jesus:
I floated down from Heaven when I heard a lamb had strayed
Look at you, Jamie, your brain has turned to marmalade
I'm here to help you, Jamie, and return you to the fold
Try filling your lungs with God, and not Jamaican Gold
Satan's bold! Loves to lie!
Don't reply! Do you wanna make the angels cry?
All:
Cry-yi-yi-yi
Listen to Jesus, Jamie!
Jesus:
Just say no to the marijuana!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) This comes straight from the Madonna!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) I'm the face on the shroud of Turin
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) Do I need to test your urine?
Satan went and conned ya (Went and conned ya, Jamie)
Mustn't touch his evil ganja (No! No! No! No! No!)
Jamie, don't turn your back on God
All:
Dona eis requiem
Numquam fumas canibas
Aut incendes ibi inferno
You'll burn in hell!
Jesus:
I've cured a lot of lepers and I've risen from the dead
Is that what it's gonna take to get this through your head?
If you insist on smoking to indulge those teenage kicks,
Soon you'll be floating naked in the river Styx!
What a fix! Sulphur pools! Torture tools!
Seperation from your family jewels
All:
Ra-ma-la-ma! They're gonna cut your ding-dong!
Listen to Jesus, Jamie!
Jesus:
Gotta give it up for Lent, boy!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) Or wind up as Satan's rent boy!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) Don't let reefer kick your keister!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) I'm the poster boy for Easter
Jamie, let me see ya (Lemme see ya, Jamie)
Kick the sin and sensimilla (Go! Go! Go! Gotta kick it!)
Jamie, don't turn your back on God
All:
For the Lord God omnipotent hateth
Marijuana! Marijuana!
Listen to Jesus, Jamie!
Jesus:
Thou shalt heed this holy omen!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) Stop indulging like a Roman!
(Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) All the cherubim say you gotta
(You gotta! Listen to Jesus, Jamie!) Trust the man with the stigmata!
Jamie, don't you turn your back on God...
On God!

Nope. That's been addressed by a few people. He was in Amsterdam at the time. So.... legal and no chance of arrest while Jamie had alot on him and grew the things in the UK and was caught thus it's kind of different thing.

That's not him. You can tell just by looking at him.
Yeah, I heard the news the other night. I wonder who will be Goyle's new partner? My bet is Pansy Parkinson.

It's Blaise Zabini. Why else would the actor who plays him be back for the final movie AND have a stunt double? There was a set report that came out last week from a couple who visited saying they saw Blaise, Malfoy and Goyle's stunt doubles in burnt-looking make-up. Sounds like they were filming the fiend-fyre scene at that time.

Well I never got a chance to see that report, as it was taken down.

Now that I look past the high-contrast spots, it does look a bit like him. Besides, I was thinking of the image that mugglenet posted right next to the piece, which looks like it was taken during CoS.
My bad.
