What wonderful news; I was so tempted not to read it, but of course I gave in :)

I'm not too worried about 'Love's First Kiss' .... it could simply be that that is the title of the scene in the ride, and they thought that was a song from the soundtrack ? Most likely a version of POYW will be heard, as it is the theme that the whole Mermaid score is structured around.

I wonder why the Happy Ending is a closely guarded secret ?! From most dark rides, dont we have the scary climax, then the heros waving to us from a castle, then we leave ? But the site already mentioned that we have the waving from Erics castle .... so we are having an EXTRA happy ending scene ?! WOW !!

I dont care if I have to lie, cheat, steal or kill ( ) ....... I will be going to the opening of this ride !!!

What? Menken wrote a bit of score called "Love's First Kiss" in the film? But Ursula said it was the Kiss of True Love. I bet in the ride it will be Kiss the Girl as you said but...can you elaborate on Menken really writing that score in the film? Did it sound like Enchanted's song? What?!

No, I said maybe. I was just listing the various scenarios.

Has anyone seen this picture before? I think it's from the concepts for the ride before they said they were going to build it. In other words, a long time ago. But if it ends up looking like that, it'll be so awesomely excitingly cool!

I don't think this has been posted yet:
http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/dateli ... -more.html. It's a video of the ride so far and an interview with the ride's producer. I'd post the video directly if I knew how, but I don't. Look's like the ride is shaping up nicely. This is what DCA needs. Well, one thing it needs. I hope I get to see it before next year!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, this is the regular Dateline Disneyland update, so just scroll down past the Disneyland stuff to California Adventure Project Tracker. There's screencaps of the video beneath it.

Next time I go to the World, I am DEFINITELY riding this. Even if I have to on my own!

I don't really follow WDW news too much (I hate spoilers!:P ), but I don't know how I missed that. They're putting Ariel's Undersea Adventures in WDW, too?

Yeah, it's part of the Fantasyland Expansion.

Yeah, it's part of the Fantasyland Expansion.
Now all they have to do is put it in Tokyo DisneySea or someplace, preferably as part of Mermaid Lagoon, which is already themed to the movie.

Youre exactly right ..... thats the feeling I get from it too; I feel like I'm actually IN the movie ! I havnt really felt that with other rides before, I feel like this one is enveloping me in whole undersea world :)

I only hope that Jodi will be back for Ariel ...... they wont replace her will they ? I cant see why they would, but thats the thing that would ruin it for me, if they didnt ask her back. Though she does seem to do things for Disney every other week, lol.

They wouldn't replace Jodi Benson. No more than they can replace Belle, Beast, Aladdin, Jasmine or Stitch's voice actors.

Well, actually Susan Egan seems to have been filling in for Belle a lot lately...

Yes, Susan Egan it would appear has pretty much replaced Paige as Belle's voice. And I honestly think its for the best. After all, she did play Belle on stage.

It is going to be so strange if / when they replace Jodi, as she has been the only voice we have known for Ariel. Except, I suppose, Sierra Boggess for the Broadway show.

Well, except for the Stitch! Anime's english dub replacing Sanders with Ben Diskin (Number 1 from Kids Next Door) because they cheaped out in general.

And plus, Jasmine swaps around a lot; its ususally Lea Salonga that gets called back for voicework, as she sings for Jasmine.
