We saw it on the first showing on Friday. My 14-yr-old son ducked out as soon as we sat down and saw Fast & Furious instead. My step-daughter and I really enjoyed it. I have to admit, I was not excited about seeing it. I have only watched the show a few times. I really enjoyed the movie though - it was W A Y better than I had anticipated. Here's hoping good word of mouth will lead it to do good box-office wise.

We will definitely buy this on DVD.

Observe and Report which stars Seth Rogen came in at Number 4 with a little over 11 million

Also, why was Oliver only in it for a few seconds? He's such an important part of the show, I figured he would be a main part of the movie. Were there scheduling conflicts? Or did they just not write a part for him?

Well 'At the Movies' just told me to not see the movie. They know exactly where they can stick that review.

Yeah....that was probably my only gripe about the film....that and other missing characters or lack of

I think my major gripe about the film was the lack of supporting cast from the show.....Lily didn't show up until like out of no where after the birthday party.........and There was just as much Oliver as there was Rico.....the same......meaning hardly any.....but overall it was a good movie even though it lacked a lot of Oliver or Rico

and I do have one question.....Did anyone notice Rascal Flats in the movie singing on the front deck singing god bless the broken road song..and Billy Ray was strumming the guitar with them too...and they were eating as members of the family reunion......

This movie doesn't come out for a few months where I live so can I ask, what did everyone think of the acting in this film? Was it substantially better than the acting in the show? (which, in its defence, requires a different sort of acting, being a comedy and all).

It was much better. I felt like I was seeing a movie - not a long television episode. I have to say - I knew my step-daughter wanted to see it badly and I was halfway dreading it. I came out of the theater with a smile and I still can't get the songs out of my head. A positive surprise for me, this one.

Even the negative reviews are positive...

That's ironic because a review I read said it was just like the TV show.

To each his own, I guess. I thought it was way better than the regular show.

As did I. I usually can't stand more than ten minutes of the show, but ended up really liking the movie.

I saw it, lots of character development for Miley and her dad, I see a good career for 'em. The plot was fairly enjoyable, the "villain" could've been alil more strong, as Frank Thomas said "Your villain is only as strong as your hero" the songs were pleasing, especialy The Climb and HoeDown ThrowDown.

As for the supporting characters, I was really expecting Rico to get the cameo and I kinda hoped Roxy (Hannah's Bodyguard) would've showed up too. I agree with everybody bout Oliver being a cameo and the answer to that was, Yes there was a conflict with the schedule, Mitchell was filming Hatchin Pete round the time of Hannah Montana: The Movie. I was glad that Lilly's role was fairly expanded and that the friendship was put to the test with Hannah's popularity.

Me too. It was a really really good movie.

Now I'm just tossin an theory but I have a feelin that we might see a "extended" editon of HM:The Movie packed with a digital copy, a 'How To" vid for HoeDown ThrowDown, Sing Along (Best Of Both Worlds, Let's Get Crazy, The Climb) a promo "makin of" . Maybe a few deleted scenes and commentary.

I noticed that Jackson's role was somewhat mature yet not too Tv Jackson, wish we were able to see his character develop and see the effects of Hannah's popularity had on him and I could've seen a few more Jackson/Cousin Derek sequence workin to light up a few moments.

I just watched with my familiy and everybody loved it!!! I enjoyed very much!!

Still not true. <i>WALL-E</i>, <i>Finding Nemo</i>, <i>Cars</i>, and <i>Monsters, Inc.</i> all made more on their opening days.

I can't believe people were actually surprised by the ending. I mean, really? What did you expect? I could see the ending from 20 miles away in a heavy fog with glasses that aren't my prescription.

Maybe they meant the highest opening for a G-rated live action Disney movie?
