Alright, I recorded the rerun this morning, and finalized it on a DVD.
I'm currently uploading an ISO image to a dedicated server for those of you good with DVD burning... and I can burn some to mail tomorrow. I'll PM links when the upload finishes - in about 14 hours.
Unfortunately it's not anamorphic or anything because there's no TCM HD (or is there?) so its native signal is 4:3 and that's how my recorder records it.
Maybe if enough people bug me I'll crop the top and bottom letterboxes off and denoise it a bit to make it anamorphic. And I can cut the intro and ending of the DVD off... I recorded the first minute which was some TCM animatic that said "coming up next..." and I have about 10 minutes after the documentary ended.

I would have recorded it but I thought that it was going to be on at 10:30 tonight, not this morning.

Let us know what server you are uploading the .iso on. Are you a member of Mousebits.com? That would be a good place for it.

Nah, I'm not a member of any of those things.
I'm putting it on the server that hosts
www.disneyunvaulted.org (oops, did I let the URL for my fan project slip?

): It's a bot located in France with about 1.5TB of space and 100MB/second upload.
Trust me, it'll be plenty fast, it should max out your download speed

Just wanted to drop a line and say "Thank you!" to drf. Got a nice little envelope in the mail today that said "DO NOT BEND", which contained the TCM doc on DVD-R.
Thanks, drf!

Can't wait for that Herbie marathon. Love Bug's one of the few classics I had to miss out on during December, and I can't find it's DVD anywhere around here.
Maybe I'll also give The World's Greatest Athlete a spin, too.

Flanger-Hanger's thread was part of the reason I got into classic films, and I noticed this thread hasn't been updated in a year, and since I got the newsletter this morning, I though I might update it.
There was only one Disney film scheduled this month, so I decided to include other films based on the same source material as some Disney animated classics.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), July 15th at 6:00 PM EST
Beauty and the Beast (1946), July 18th at 8:00 PM EST
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), July 19th 12:00 AM EST
A Christmas Carol (1938), July 22nd 8:15 AM EST
Herbie Rides Again (1974), July 25th 6:15 PM EST

Er, ya...about that....

I have no objection to that.

Or anyone else who might want to keep this thread going in the future.

Beauty and the Beast is the only one on that list that I haven't seen. If I remember, I'll check it out, as I'm kind of interested in how this early French adaption is.

^ Jean Cocteau's version of B&TB is an absolutely exquisite piece of filmmaking. Visually breathtaking, especially for a film made in Europe during WWII when materials were in short supply and CGI was decades off. The visual effects rival some of today's biggest CGI epics, in my humble opinion. Definitely catch it, it's worth a look or five.

Movies Disney Channel SHOULD be airing.
These also have been known to air on Hallmark Channel.
