Nope. Same one. Just 3 years older (we last saw him in POA).
And he can act fine for someone who just has to be a total brat the entire time.

Well, on imdb.com (I know it's not that) reliable, but it says it's the same person. But the two look completely different. Maybe he lost weight? He does look skinnier. This confuses me.

He lost weight. He does look a bit different to me too. Oh well, it corresponds with the book as it is stated Dudley got muscle. I remember it because I hated the Dursleys and I seem to remember everything good that happens to them because they didn't deserve it, and Dudley being skinny was one of them.

I "think" I've discovered something:

In my course of reading HP5, in #12 Grimmauld Place, Harry and friends were cleaning Sirius's and family's house. While cleaning, Harry noticed something, a necklace. Now could this be a connection to the necklace found on the covers of HP7? I mean, Harry would have the oppurtunity to go and get it, and wasn't Sirius's brother, Regalus (sp?) a Death Eater and with Voldy? Hmmmm, interesting.

That's been brought up in mugglenet and some other fansites before...it's considered to be a fairly plausible theory.

I've read the book quite recently and don't remember anything like this. Anyone have an idea?

It looks like somewhere in Hogwarts around the time the twins set off their firecrackers.

That is very correct. The official description of the trailer confirms it.

Tom Felton. Hmmm, I wonder if he'll be excited for the task of killing Dumbly-dorr? I'm also curious about the Inferi. How are they going to portray "animated corpses?"

they'll probably do the inferi as eithier:
A. CGI Creatures
B. People in costumes
or C. done the same way as Davey Jones.

Yeah, but what would they actually look like? Please, no picture, just a description. I'm mean, I don't normally go walking around looking at corpses while I stroll through the grocery looking for a packet of taco seasoning to make my chilli more lively. I hope that it isn't B though, that would be depressing and down right terrible. I think we can rule out B, and I think the best bet would be A.

I know most of you have read the description or even seen the low-quality international trailer (which is 1:48 minutes long) of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but for those who didn't get wind of it yet, here's the low-quality version of the international trailer in case you didn't. The trailer was first aired in Japan on a morning TV show and someone happened to tape it and put it on Youtube. (The higher-quality version will be put up 10 A.M. EST tomorrow for U.S. fans, around noon for those in the U.K./Europe.)

My favorite bits in the trailer are:

- More new footage of Voldemort (there is one or two shots reused from GOF), but the majority of them are new, such as the scene where Harry "sees" Voldemort at Platform 9 3/4, wearing a black Muggle suit (Harry is most likely hallucinating this and You-Know-Who isn't really there.)
- Voldemort's line, "You will lose everything." (that was on the teaser poster too)
- Flashes of the anticipated Dumbledore vs. Voldemort duel
- Umbridge hexing the two snogging students and the three other students she passes by
- Fred and George wrecking havoc in the Great Hall
- Umbridge's creepy giggle
- Hermione says "It's exciting, isn't it, breaking the rules?" and Ron's reply, "Who are you and what you have done with Hermione Granger?"
- Snape hitting Ron on the head with a book and Harry laughs
- Extra bits of Bellatrix (loved her line "The Dark Lord approaches...")

Some people preferred to wait to see the higher-quality version, but this one is fairly watchable. You can't out everything in this version, but you get the gist of it.

i just found out that Harry Potter will be in IMAX. is the IMAX version of movies better than the nonIMAX version?

Disneyfreak1990 wrote:i just found out that Harry Potter will be in IMAX. is the IMAX version of movies better than the nonIMAX version?
Well, the IMAX people take the original 35mm prints of the movie and blow them up to 70mm and make the detail look good as the original theatrical showings. Being as that IMAX is a larger screen than any regular size theater, it's not as wide, resulting in some mild cropping along the sides.

I have not seen any full-length movies in IMAX, but the sheer detail and scope of the theater (plus the surround sound) just make it a much more immersive experience than any conventional theater. And the finale of OOTP will be remastered in 3D (only 20 minutes of it) for IMAX, so it should be a spectacular experience.

Warner Bros. have done the simultaneous IMAX release with their previous two HP films, as well as a multitude of other popular releases, such as 300, Batman Begins, Poseidon, Superman Returns (which had select scenes rendered in IMAX 3D too), The Matrix Revolutions, V for Vendetta, The Polar Express and The Ant Bully. So the WB has done this for quite a while.

I would recommend you see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in as big of a regular theater as you can, then go to IMAX for the second viewing so you'll be acclimated to it.
