Surfing the Internet, I just found this:
]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... CR9L6q1fF8
It's Snow White's story (with narrator, voices for the characters and songs), the curious thing is that Snow White voice's is from...Ilene Woods, you know, Cinderella. And the Evil Queen it's...Eleanor Audley!
It's funny to hear their voice into another princess/villain. What do you think?

Hey Everyone! I have not posted here in forever, but I do visit every day. Anyway, I'm obsessed with the character voices and Jennifer Hale has officially been replaced by Kate Higgins as the voice of Princess Aurora.
In an interview with Rob Paulson from 2012, Jennifer Hale confirms that she is no longer the voice of Princess Aurora. I added a clip from the interview:

Here is Kate Higgins doing the voice of Princess Aurora in the 'Tiara Time' book:
http://soundcloud.com/michaelglo/aurora ... tiara-time
When you compare this performance to Aurora's voice in 'Disneyland Kinetic' you can definitely tell it was Kate Higgins and not Jennifer Hale providing Aurora's voice in the game. The last known singing voice for Princess Aurora was Kim Huber, who provided Princess Aurora's singing voice on the Disney Princess Christmas and Birthday Party Albums years ago. I'm assuming that Aurora's singing voice has also been re-cast. We'll find out when she guest stars in 'Sofia The First' this fall.

Oh my goodness hello
Disney Villain! Have missed you greatly on this forum, please say you are back?
Thank you ever so much for those uploads; that is 100% her on the Disneyland Kinect game. She sounds much more of a match on the game over the read-along; I suppose the theme park Aurora is saying things we are more used to hearing her say, over a whole new story. But yes, I think she is good match for sure.
I agree with Disney; Jennifer was beginning to sound too much of a match for Cinderella & Aurora together. Makes perfect sense to have removed her; sounds like they were sweet to her though
I do wonder why they chose such a different approach to her speaking and singing in 'Enchanted Tales'; were they trying to make Aurora more modern ?

Hi!!! So glad to see you here!
Thanks for the confirmation about Kate Higgins!

And thank you partofdisneyworld, for sharing that audio book with Ilene Woods as Snow White! That was very interesting.

Just manages to listen to Illene as Snow; fascinating find!
Interesting that they didn't try and change her voice at al; if anything, she sounded deeper than Cinderella!! And Elenor Audley was fab as the Evil Queen. I'm guessing it must have been around the time of Cinderella's releases?

I knew there was something different about Aurora's voice in Kinect Disneyland Adventures.
And after reading a credit listing in a Disney princess audio book, I too saw Kate Higgins as the voice of Aurora. And since Higgins' name appears in the credits of Kinect Disneyland Adventures as well, it has now lead me to conclude that Higgins did Aurora in that (plus listening to that audio clip).

I thought Woods was the voice of Cinderella (in the original movie, I mean).

And she is!
But she was voicing Snow White in this particular audio CD.

I wonder why did choose her; was it literally to cash in on Cinderella ? Elenor Audley is an obvious (and brilliant) choice for the Queen, just wondered why they quite obviously used the same 'Princess' for this audio recording .....

I've been thinking about the crappy new singing voice that Belle has (from the Sophia the First thread) and that got me thinking about songs the Princesses sing outside of their films, and the voices that have portrayed them.
Arguably, you could say that singing voices of these ladies are what we hear the most of in our day to day lives, as that is so much more accessible. In my car, a Disney song will always pop up on the way to work. Unless you sit down to watching a Disney Classic every day! Just shows how important getting a voice right actually is....
So I was wondering .... What is your favourite Princess song outside of their original film? Can be from the sequels, TV shows, CD collections...anything!!
Personal favourites of mine include 'In Harmony' sung by Jodi Benson as Ariel in 'Ariel's Undersea Adventures: The Series'. Such a sweet song with a lovely message.
Also I absolutely love and cherish 'Stories' sung by Paige O'Hara as Belle from 'The Enchanted Christmas'. This is a beautiful song that stands up to any Ashman/Menken/Slater theatrical work. And it's accompanied by some really unusal visuals as well.
I'm sure there are more I will think of!

I love a lot of princess songs, but I will try to say a couple for each princess:
Snow White
- Dare to Dream (from
Tiana and Her Princess Friends)
Cinderella
- More Than a Dream (from
Cinderella 3)
- Believe In Me (from the Disney Cruise musical
Twice Charmed)
Aurora
- Waiting for My Prince (from
The Princess Tea Party album)
- A Rose is a Rose (from
Tiana and Her Princess Friends)
Ariel
There are a lot of songs from Ariel that I really love, like all the songs from
Songs from the Sea and
Splash Hits, here's some of my favorites:
- My Room In The Sea
- Home Is
- In My Blue Backyard
- In Harmony
Belle
- Stories (from
Beauty and the Beast 2)
- Listen With Our Hearts (from
Belle's Magical World)
- A Change In Me (from the
Broadway Musical)
Jasmine
- Out of Thin Air (from
Aladdin and the King of Thieves)
- To Be Free (from the
Disneyland musical)
- The Ride of Your Lives (from
Sofia The First)
Pocahontas
- Where Do I Go From Here (from
Pocahontas 2)
Mulan
- The Holly and the Ivy (from the
Disney Princess Christmas album)
Tiana
- Everyday Princess (from
Bayou Boogie)
Rapunzel and Merida don't have any song outside the movie, yet.

I like "In Harmony" and I think it's called "One Dance" from Ariel. And "Stories" is great. Also, as Bruno_wbt mentioned, "Where Do I Go From Here?" from Pocahontas.

“Daring to Dance,” “In Harmony,” “Just a Little Love,” and “Never Give Up” from the TLM series. I also like “There’s Only One Ariel,” although Jodi Benson isn’t the one singing. I believe the only Ariel song to come from the musical that I liked halfway was “Beyond My Wildest Dreams.”
I enjoy Belle’s two songs in The Enchanted Christmas and the Aladdin sequels’ songs, for the most part anyway. And, yes, "Where Do I Go From Here?" (Judy Kuhn) is very good.
I don’t have the TP&TF Bayou Boogie CD yet, so I can’t comment on those songs.

Just to pick up on the Belle thing ... thought I would post a couple of comparison pieces, just to really show the differences:
Beauty & The Beast: Paige O'Hara

The Enchanted Christmas: Paige O'Hara

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmTANdtXYyA
Beauty & The Beast Broadway: Susan Egan

Disney Princess Singing Belle Doll: Susan Egan
(Skip to the 0:25 mark)

Disney Princess Enchanted Tales - A Kingdom of Kindness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V2iJxNCRDM
(This 'Enchanted Tales' clip is so confusing; Paige is featured
speaking as Belle in the trailer, then this came out, which most certainly isn't her....is it listed anywhere who it is?!)
Sofia The First: The Amulet and the Anthem: Julie Nathanson

Ariel - Jodi Benson
Belle - Julie Nathenson
Jasmine - Linda Larkin (Speaking) / Lea Salonga (Singing)
Pocahontas - Irene Bedard (Speaking) / Judy Kuhn (Singing)
Mulan - Ming-Na (Speaking ) / Lea Salonga (Singing)
Tiana - Anika Noni Rose
Rapunzel - Mandy Moore
Merida - Kelly Macdonald (Have we heard her speak in the Princess line yet?)
