Blockbuster does have a tin for Cars. I just picked it up about an hour ago for $21.99. I'll try to post a picture of it later.

Its a red tin with the Cars logo on the front. Pretty nice, and they had a pretty good amount left tonight.

I was shocked at Wal-Mart. I didn't see any Widescreen Cars at all. Tons of Fullscreen though.

I'm sorry for the report about Blockbuster not having the tin. The lady at the store I called, yesterday, said that the tin was a popcorn tin, with Cars characters. So, after reading, and seeing pictures of the Blockbuster tin, today, I called the same store I called, yesterday, and the lady said, "Oh, yeah, I just saw a guy buy one. Let me see if we have any left." She came back, and said that they had a few, and she would hold one for me, if I wanted it. So, I headed on over, and picked it up. It's pretty nice! By the way, the ONLY popcorn tin's I saw featured Disney Princess characters, including Ariel, on them. I did not see any with Cars characters. So, I take it that the lady I spoke with last night had NO IDEA what she was talking about.

So, needless to say, I've ended up with THREE copies of Cars! I bought one copy at Wal-Mart to get their Bonus Disc, one copy at Target to get their Bonus Disc (plus the pin), and one copy at Blockbuster, to get the tin! Plus, I picked up a copy of the Target Deluxe Edition for Reyquila, as well.

Goodness! To think, I wasn't even going to buy this release at all! I guess I have sucker written all over my forehead!

I'm going to give one copy to my nephew, Camden, for Christmas, and I guess I will try to sell the other copy.

You could probably earn an extra $21.99 from reyquila if he wants the Blockbuster release as well now that it's got a tin. Plus, there's a Futureshop tin exclusive to Canada, which makes it an additional release in R1!

Hold on, let me brush that hair out of your eyes. Nope, it doesn't say "sucker", it says "Pixar's new best friend!"

Every time I see your nephews name I think of my school (Camden County Community College).

Problem is, I don't want to part with my tin, and they held the last one at the Blockbuster I went to, for me. Apparently, after I called, they sold out of the few they had left, except for the one they held for me. As far as Futureshop, I'm not in Canada, so I won't be getting that one!

Too true!

Well, all I can say is that your school couldn't possibly be as cute as my nephew! He's my pride and joy!

Well, after seeing his Nemo picture, I'd agree. Camden County actually isn't too nice to look at. A lot of buildings that looked good in the 70s but don't look good now. Especially the haunted Jefferson Hall, which looks like something from the 1940s on the outside, but is renovated to look like some stark psychiatric hospital on the inside.

I bought my Cars dvd from Best Buy about an hour ago and they still had a good number of the 3-d posters. My guess is they'll be gone before this weekend though, so I'd head out fairly soon if you want one.

I bought both the Wal Mart & the Target with bonus disc's. The Target 2-Disc was only available in widescreen. Wal Mart had both Wide & Full. I just wanted to let everybody know that if they want to buy the DVD as a gift & keep the bous disc for themselves they are all wrapped seperatley. The Cars DVD is wrapped, the bonus disc is wrapped & then they are wrapped together. So if you wanted to give the Cars disc away it would still be factory sealed & they would be none the wiser! :) I also popped in Target's bonus disc & it's pretty weird. It's like they were shown widescreen online (I guess, I keep reading they were webcasts but I never watched them) but are non-animorphic & were ported as fullscreen to the disc, so when I watch them on my widescreen tv I get black bars all around. It's just small widescreen in the middle of my tv screen. :? Weird.

I noticed this, as well. It's also the same with the Wal-Mart Bonus Disc. I had to go into the settings of my DVD player, and change it from 16:9 Widescreen, to 4:3 Letter Box. That took care of the problem, for me. You might give it a try.

I'm gonna end up with 3;

Wal-Mart Bonus DVD
Target Bonus DVD
Best Buy Giftset

I don't have the Target yet, but my source called last night and said she got the set and 2 pins.

Just gotta figure out what to do with the 2 extra Cars DVDs now. :D

To those who have both the Wal-Mart and Target bonus DVD, which one would you say is better? I was planning to get the Wal-Mart DVD, but I'm wondering if the 12-minute documentary on Target's is worth it.

I got mine at Future Shop with a cool steelbook case (I'll try to post photos in the near future). It's just red with the logo on it, and the back is pretty much the same as the regular case, but I do have an issue with it, on the back it says in small writing "this film has been modified from it's original version. it has been formated to fit your screen" when yet my copy is a widescreen one (since they give you the empty steelbook when you check out). And something not about the bonus but I'm just wonder, as I said the DVD came in a regular case, and I noticed that the case they used has the little clips (or whatever you call them) that hold the tray in place for a two disc set. Now, am I the only one who's a bit insulted by this, not only do they give us a single disc release, but they put it in a case designed for two discs, with the tray taken out.

My friend and I went to Best Buy yesterday because she told me she wanted to buy Cars. I was more or less tagging along as I wasn't planning on getting it but I decided to buy it when I saw the lenticular poster. It just looks very cool. xD

OK, so I'm a bit late to the game here... but does anyone know if the Cars DVD packages, such as those that were in Walmart and Target, still available anywhere? Here in Connecticut, I don't even recall seeing any advertising for them....

Thanks!

Well, DANG IT!!!

I didn't get a single thing, including the Best Buy poster!!! :(

Although, I DID get it for a negative 2 dollars... (long story, it basically involves 2 $5 pre-orders for cars, a price match, and a $5 off from pre-ordering PotC...)
