Picked up at Best Buy:
Poseidon my first Blu-Ray DVD movie. It looks and sounds really great.
House - Second Season, one of my favorite television shows.
Poseidon - 2-Disc Special Edition because of the extras on the second disc.
I used my Reward Zone card Gift Certificates, so all I had to pay was the taxes.

The Incredible Journey R2 UK
Brilliant film, the original 1963 version available on DVD in anamorphic widescreen! Yay!
That Darn Cat! R2 UK
Again the original and far superior version. A brilliant and adorable Disney film, and again anamorphic widescreen!
Flubber R2 UK
It's not often that I like remakes more than the original but this is the exception. I think Flubber is a wonderful film, <strike>and I cry every time Weebo dies </strike> and I enjoy it in a manly non crying way!
The One And Only, Genuine, Original Family Band R2 UK
Well I wasn't expecting much from this, but I have to admit it was pleasant enough, not groundbreaking or a rival to the studios other musicals, but it's a couple of hours of harmless Disney.

One Foot In The Grave S5 + Xmas Special R2 PAL
I don't believe it! Another 7 episodes of comic genius from one of my favourite writers David Renwick. Sadly, Patrick and Pippa leave in the Xmas Special.
Supernatural S1 Pt2 R2 PAL
Like I said, I got both volumes of this for £17.99 each, so its about the cost of a complete series set - so I didn't particularly mind the splitting of the set. Until I found out this doesn't have the supplements on either - despite the non-commentary supplements being passed by the BBFC. I guess a complete set is in the works, with more content
This Island Earth R1 NTSC
It's a disgrace how badly Universal have treated this classic sci-fi film. One of the most influential sci-fi films of the '50's slapped out on a barebones disc.
FOR SHAME!
The Simpsons S8 R1 NTSC
But... But... I ordered the Maggie Head packaging (still clearly visible on my order history) to go with my others, and Amazon aren't replying to my email of complaint, and their return online system doesn't cope with international orders. I WANT HEAD! (as in Maggie head that is)

Cool, Aaron. I'm getting ready to start my collection of
I Love Lucy season sets. Is this your first season, or do you have others?
Also, when can we expect the review of
Desperate Housewives: The Complete Second Season?

It's my first. "I Love Lucy" is one of my favorite shows, but I've held off on the DVDs due to their price. I found Seasons 1-3 on sale for $29.99 at Target last night so I picked up Season 1. It actually seems to be a studio price reduction, so you can get it for around that price at most retailers. Amazon has it for $29.69.

I have to finish "Darkwing Duck" first. Disney got the animated sets to us very late and the Desperate Housewives set even later. I'm shooting for DWD to be done on Tuesday. I'll then start watching DHS2 on Tuesday and tear through it as quickly as possible.

wow, tough break. I get mad when i order things and something screws it up. the worst that happened to me was that i ordered a DVD that was on back order and I had to wait a couple weeks for it to ship and another week for it to come.

Today was a big day at Best Buy, and using my Reward Zone card and price matching as I went along I picked up:
The Riddick Trilogy basically to save space in my shelves.
The Wicker Man (1973) - a far superior film compared to the remake with Nicolas Cage. If you want to see a really graphic, horror movie, then check out this original version and save your money.
Brother Bear 2 - I know, I said that I don't buy direct-to-video movies, but I was watching this one on a monitor in the Home Theater department and it had me really laughing, so it is part of my collection now.
Take The Lead - the story of Pierre Dulaine as portrayed by Antonio Banderas, who teaches ghetto kids ballroom dancing. Really a good movie. A whole lot better than 'Step Up'.
The Sentinel - Michael Douglas, Eva Longoria and Keifer Sutherland star in this tale of a secret service agent framed in a plot to kill the President. Pretty good movie.
Desperate Housewives - Season 2 The Extra Juicy Edition - my favorite guilty pleasure.
All of the above for less than $70, because I used what was left of my Gift Certificates.
Will pick up "Darkwing Duck" and "Tailspin" later this week.
