Crowded shmrowded. I think the cover is absolutely delicious! But being more serious it just seems crowded because it's actually a scene and not just a collage of characters. I actually want The Little Mermaid so I can feel refreshed from the sun everytime I watch it during the summer!

I'm not good with all the techinque details, WHAT IS FAST PLAY and why is everyone making such a big deal out of it???

Fast Play is a system that's being used a lot on American Disney DVDs recently. What happens is that it lets you play Disc 1 all in one go, with the commercials, then the movie, then the bonus features playing all in one go. What has been controversial, however, is that they supposedly have an annoying screen for it at the beginning (I think I read this somewhere), and as was the case of Lady and the Tramp and probably with future films with both widescreen and fullscreen versions on one disc, the pan and scan version is played instead of the widescreen version. I think some people also hate it, as they find it patronising, not letting one do simple things for themselves.

I don't know about anyone else...but I personally hope they include a few music videos on this release. Little Mermiad has a good number of songs that have been made into DisneyMania remakes, all of which range from really good to merely enjoyable. Music Videos I'd like to see are:

Skye Sweetnam- Part of Your World (This was a very fun song! I thought she remade it with a very creative flair!)

Raven- Under the Sea (Cuz let's face it...it'll be there)

Disney Channel Circle of Stars- Anything (There's been a tendency to do one of these videos for the October Platinum Editions...I hope there is one on this one!!)

I would also love a image gallery with the films poster campaigns for both its initial release and its re-release in 1997.

What will happen with TLM Collectors Gift Set, because yesterday I saw an announcement on the main page, but now I can't find it

Yes, but the annoying that about FastPlay is that if you select the menu while the previews have already started, then an annoying yellow subtitle will appear during the credits saying to stay tuned to bonus features. When I watch my Chicken Little DVD, I don't select the Main Menu from the Fast Play screen because I like watching The Little Mermaid's trailer whenever I pop the disc in. Unfortunately, whenever I do this, the annoying "stay tuned" subtitle pops up during the "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" credits scene, which is very distracting.

Yes, I assume it is a mistake. I will also be waiting for the Gift Set release and a local version of the 2-Disc.

Ok, so I'm very confused. The press release makes no mention of a Collector's Gift Set, and I have not seen it listed on Amazon.com... Do we know for sure that there IS going to be one? I need proof. Anyone got a link or something? I checked through all the pages in the Press Release thread, but only saw people's posts jump from uncertainty to certainty of a release with out a tangable reason...

Any light that anyone could shed would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Wow, long time no see Prince Phillip!

Anyways, no the Press Release makes no mention of a CGS, but many of us are simply speculating there will be one simply because it's a Fall title for the Platinum series and because it's a very high-profile title in the Platinum series.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who dislikes Hannah Montana. It's going to be gross to add her to the video. Zack and Cody were gross in Cinderella but I got used to them.

I HATE Hannah Montana! I haven't even seen it yet, but from what I've seen (commercials) it looks totally un-Disney. I also do hope that there will be a DCCOS music video. I wish that the twins, Zack and Cody, or whoever they are, aren't in there. They sing terribly! I much prefer the older cast of the older TV shows. Oh well, whatever happens, happens.

I would like to see the video from Peter Andre's version of "Kiss the Girl", "Under the Sea" performed by a*teens, "Part of your World" performed by Jessica Simpson, and "Kiss the Girl" by NoSecrets. The last three are involved in Disneymania (1st volume), and I really enjoy them.
I don't want another Raven song, I hate everything about her...and that Circle of stars...How come they're stars????? I don't know them, NOBODY knows them!!!

Well I can probably say for sure that Jessica Simpson won't be making a music video of a song she recorded 5 years ago. She's too big of a star now, with the divorce and her "movie" career.

If we do get any music videos, they'll probably be a Disney Channel Circle of Stars rendition of one of the songs and a video of Raven's Under The Sea from DisneyMania 3...doesn't sound so bad to me...what is everyone's beef with Raven.

I wouldn't mind seeing Skye Sweetnam's Part of Your World in video form on the DVD. I thought that song was really fun...unconventional, but fun!

The little mermaid is my most wanted DVD and I'm a little disappointed by this art cover. Anyway it's not the most inportant point. I hope it will have a Gift Set, the cover will be certainly nicer . I also worried about the French language track, I'm scare about the origine of the dubbing. I really want my Canadian French track, wait and see. I can be stupid but I hope that the slipcover will flip like a book, not like Lady and the tramp . I'm hurry to know more about The bonus feature!

I'd love Jessica Simpson to do a video for 'Part Of Your World' - I didn't even realise she'd recorded it until today.

She's been involved with Aladdin so who knows...I was surprised they couldn't get more high profile stars for The Lion King but I must say the re-recordings of songs on the special edition DVDs are a guilty pleasure of mine.

By the time of the release, Jessica will be involved in her new album so it's a two-way thing as it'd be more exposure for her, and Disney could do worse than have a big star on their DVD.
