First Region 1 DVD Review of Mary Poppins is now up!

Post by That1GuyPictures »

The first review that I can find of a R1 copy of Mary Poppins
is now available DVDTOWN.COM at the following link.

http://dvdtown.com/review/marypoppins40 ... ee9de89298

Evidently this reviewer likes the movie itself
but was not pleased with the original 5.1 mix
(which is included) or the new 5.1 EHTM.

I guess he would have prefered
the original 2.0 stereo mix...
(which is not mentioned as an inclusion)

He mentions that the picture is better
than the last DVD's, but I don't think he even
knows the picture has been restored by Lowry Digital.
(Which may be a bad thing...)

He also mentions the slipcover is made of a metallic foil material.
Sounds cool to me!!!

Hopefully it's still as great as I'm hoping for!

Check it out while you wait!

I hope they just don't know what they are talking about.

That1Guy, We really don't need you to copy-and-paste the same message in three different threads.

I'd recommend sticking with the Press Release thread. That's where the majority of conversation has ensued.
