So you're asking about the original Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) and not its direct-to-video sequel?
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president
my question was: is it worth to buy hunchback 2?
anyway, thanks for your inputs. i'll not buy this dvd...
can you help me which among the listed dvd should i buy first? can you rank them based on your favorites:
- Brother Bear
- Treasure Planet
- Sword in the Stone
- Hercules
- Oliver and Company
- Rescuers
- Rescuers Down Under
- Great Mouse Detective
- Black Couldron
thanks so much guys.

Do not buy Hunchback 2, it's not worth it! The whole movie is like a long Hunchback of the Notre Dame tv show (which doesn't exist) episode that never aired (Animationwise and storywise).eap_44 wrote:my question was: is it worth to buy hunchback 2?

I thought The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 was a great rare sequel that was better or equal to the original film. But not everyone thinks that it's a great sequel.

I was thinking "rare" too. I guess the only way to enjoy a sequel like that is to not think so much about how disloyal it is to movie 1 and take an interest in the ideas they thought of for movie 2MickeyMousePal wrote:I thought The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 was a great rare sequel that was better or equal to the original film. I am a huge supporter of sequels, but I can't stand sequels that have a story that could be just episodes of the original movie tied together (I'm thinking about Tarzan & Jane too). HOTND doesn't have a series but the sequel sure looked like a long episode of one (if it ever would excist).

I didn't mean it like that, I meant buy another classic as in adding to the classics eap_44 already has.Key wrote:I'm a bit confused as to what's being asked here... but I suggest you go for a DVD of another Disney classic. (In no way and/or means do I consider The Hunchback of Notre Dame II to be a "classic.")
