Main Website issues?

Post by blackcauldron85 »

I was wondering why there hasn't been a new film review since Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. But clicking a bit, I came across the top right button with 3 lines, and lo and behold there have been newer reviews. I wonder why they weren't posted to DVDizzy's homepage...

The main website is Luke's domain. I don't have anything to do with it. I encourage you to email him and let him know of this. He'd really appreciate you taking an interest in his reviews.

I've been having difficulty logging in this morning. I kept getting "Invalid form submitted." I get that when trying to post sometimes. This is the first when trying to login though. Hmm. It may be because I open multiple windows at once though, I don't know. Then again, I've always done that and not had a problem in the past.

I've been reading some old things on the forum this weekend. I don't know if it's every link that has an "ultimatedisney.com" URL (such as http://www.ultimatedisney.com/chickenlittle.html), but they're bringing me to a Japanese site that I think sends me to a different site. I don't know if it's spam but probably. Just a heads up that these old links are probably leading to spam. Even scroll to the bottom of this page and there's a link to UD but it leads to the spam site...

Long-time reader (of both the articles and this forum), first time poster.

For at least these past few months, I've experienced several instances in which I attempted to re-read an old Ultimate Disney/DVDizzy review (such as Kelvin Celdeno/Disneykid's look at The Princess Bride), only for it to cut off too early. Does this happen to anyone else, and can the issue be fixed? Currently I can still use the Internet Archive to read these reviews in full, even without changing my device or browser.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've checked the page you linked and the review in question appeared in full for me. Have you tried clearing your cache/temporary internet files? Having you tried accessing the page in incognito mode? Perhaps a browser app or extension is causing the trouble.

I removed DVDizzy from my website data, turned off all my extensions (including my VPN), and even installed Chrome. Unfortunately for me, the issue persists.

Have you tried accessing the site on a different device like another PC or a tablet/phone?

I experienced the issue on both an iPhone and a Windows Desktop.

For comparison's sake, here's how long the review runs in the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20240625114 ... tml#expand

It may be an issue with the ads making the page slow to load or half-load. Try using an ad blocker like uBlock Origin and let me know if that solves the problem.

I finally found time to test the review on my MacBook Pro, and can confirm that both Google Chrome and Safari display the whole page (although it loads more slowly on the latter). :)

Unfortunately, neither of the Ad Blockers I installed on my phone could help me read the review there.
