I also love the color of Rapunzel’s dress! Is that periwinkle?

Thanks for the comments, Amy and Brelly! Haha, no she does not befriend the gargoyles. They are too far below for her, and I didn't want her to be friends with them like stealing from Quasimodo. Thank you for liking her, and the colors. I believe you would call her dress periwinkle. That is one of my favorite colors. It is almost my top favorite, which is Indigo, a kind of deeper periwinkle.

Next drop: Rapunzel's Prince!

I played him in high school! I was younger, skinnier, and handsomer then (I'll even show a pic of me closer to that age!), so he is based on me! JK. He is based on Liam Hemsworth. I kept the blue theme.

Here's me a few years after I played that part. Marcelo said I look Gaston-like:

And here is the real prince!:

"Fit for a prince!"

Were you in a play in that pic (I'm thinking because of that hat)? Are those swords embroidered on the Prince's coat? Again, I like the shades of the blue!

I was in a partially costumed concert version of a musical that I believe was called "Civil War". I did not intend swords on the coat, just kinda regal shapes, but I do like thinking of them as swords! I am glad you like the colors!

I forgot to say, I was in blue when I played Rapunzel's Prince, too!

Anyway, next drop: Granny's Cottage Exterior!

I don't know if I'm reading too much into it, but the triangle part (I'm so sleep deprived I can't think) reminds me of wolf teeth...?

I don't know what that part of the house is called either, and I didn't even think of wolf teeth when I designed it, but now I see how they look like that and I am so happy they do! Brilliant, Amy!

Today's drop is the rest of the house: Granny's Cottage Interior

The Wolf is wearing a nightie different from the one we will see Granny wear. Get the joke in the samplers?

"My, Grandmother, your looking very strange."

Yay you got my joke! I am so happy about that!

Today's drop: Granny

She is based on Angela Basset. She wears one of the few yellowish costumes just because I felt that fit a nightie.

Today's drop is Jack's beanstalk.

I made it very twisty and curly.

"And little did they know that those beans would grow into an enormous stalk that would stretch into the heavens!"

I would wear Granny's PJs; both of my favorite colors! My first thought with the beanstalk pic, of course, was Gigantic  but it looks very cool. (Not that you copied Gigantic, but whenever I see a beanstalk I'll think what could have been!)

Didn't think someone would say they would wear Granny's pajamas! Did Gigantic art have a curly beanstalk?

Today's drop is the Princes' palace!

This is the castle I designed for the princes and later, their princesses. I decided to use blue, pink, and purple all on it since it's home to a bunch of different fairy tales. I took inspiration from Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant in Disneyland Paris and Neuschwanstein Caste in Bavaria, as well as another German castle I lost the image and name of, alas! But it was very horizontal like this one, which I wanted since it would be more fitting for a stage, which is more wide than tall.

"Miss, are you all right?"

I like that there are crown motifs all throughout the castle exterior! I do like the pink and blue.

I don't know what the Gigantic beanstalk would look like, I just meant, I see a beanstalk and my mind goes to that film... I didn't mean it in an insulting way towards your project. Are curly beanstalks not common in fairy tale art?

Yay you noticed the crowns! And you like the pink and blue!

I'm sure there are actually lots of curly beanstalks in fairy tale art, no way I am the first! I was just wondering if Gigantic had one you were specifically thinking of.

Today's drop is one of my favorite things Marcelo and I have made. It is something which pertains to an obsession of mine...I'm sure you can guess.

Today's drop is: Cinderella's 1st and 2nd ballgown!

Now you may say, "1st and 2nd at the same time?" Yes, I read some Into the Woods production did a trick where they just swapped different bodices to make different ballgowns. In the Grimm's fairy tale, she gets three dresses, each more beautiful than the last, for the three nights of the ball. So floating next to Cinderella is her 2nd bodice. Her 3rd gown has a bit more to it, so that is for later. "Shiver and quiver little tree. Silver and gold throw down on me!" So, gold and silver hazel leaves from the hazel tree form her ballgown and tiara...

"I just need to catch my breath."

Oooooohhhh!!! Aaaahhhhh! I like the leaf decorations in her hair, I love the Disney dust everywhere, I like the bows on the 2nd bodice. In my mind, it's a satin dress and I love that. I like the bird ornaments. I don't know what it is, but the hazel/gold portion is unique and gives it a very distinct look that I'm sure made her stand out at the ball! I've only seen Disney's ItW once many years ago so I don't remember; she is not wearing glasses slippers. I do like the color and the fan part (matching her bodice!), though!

Cinderella’s Ballgown would be a showstopper in real life! It’s interesting you incorporated the silver from that line… I’ve heard it a thousand times and never realized, most productions only incorporate the gold, not the silver. Love that attention to detail!

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Amy and Brelly! I thought Cinderella's hair, which is kinda golden brown, already matched the gold in her dress, so I used silver for her tiara. I did not even notice the fan shape in her shoe matched her bodice, good catch! And yes, in the Grimm's and Into the Woods Cinderella, she has gold shoes, not glass. Birds also assist her to finish her chores in an attempt for her stepmother to let her go to the ball, and they also are at the tree where she gets her dress, so I used a bird motif. The hazel leaves are also supposed to mimic the tatters of her servant rags. Thanks especially for the "standing out at the ball" and "showstopper" comments! The costume designer of Disney's 2014 Into the Woods made Cinderella's ballgown similar to her rags one because Cinderella is hesitant between that life and the royal life, and it's not meant to be the biggest and fanciest, which led many to feel it looks like a limp inexpensive gold dress, which I admit I see, even though it is my favorite live-action Cinderella gown because of its many elements, including a retrousse overskirt. So I did what the original Into the Woods production did, which was go big and beautiful! It is this version of Cinderella not in her natural element in the ballgown, though it is what she desires to wear to a ball. I don't know if the Into the Woods Cinderella would really wish for such a limp dress as the 2014 movie. As for the silver, it has irked me on so many occasions to see people only make the dress gold, even my own high school was a culprit (well, the Cinderella actress said there was some silver in the gown but it was in very tiny sections of a pattern and I didn't get a good enough look)! I think I so desire the silver because Disney's 1950 Cinderella wore silver. I have definitely seen some productions use silver, though, including the first two Broadway Into the Woods productions. In those productions, it looks white with some gold, but I am pretty certain it's a light silver and some gold. Or maybe it's extremely light gold and regular gold? I dunno... You can search Kim Crosby as Cinderella and Laura Benanti as Cinderella to see for yourselves...

Enough of my rambling about Cinderella! Today's drop is: Cinderella's Prince!

He is based on...Chris Hemsworth! Did anyone guess because of his brother being Rapunzel's Prince, or guess for some other reason? ;) I kept him a bluish purple and pink, to tie into the purples and pinks of Cinderella's story's color coding. His bigger muscles really show under the jacket, but he is the more foppish, ornamental prince of the two.

"Have you seen a beautiful young woman in a ballgown pass through?"

Today's drop is the Steward!

He is based on Rowan Atkinson! Our old member PrincePhillipFan suggested him to me, and I thought it was an inspired choice. He has the colors of pink and purple as well to fit Cinderella's story, and he is as foppish as I could make him!

"I think I see her over there!"

Hey, just a heads up, you know you guys can give me negative feedback, right? You can tell me if you don't like something, like the prince looks too girly, like he is wearing a skirt, or the steward's wig is ugly, anything! I welcome all criticism! I told my best friend a story point about my Cinderella comic and she flat out told me she didn't like it, and I accepted it!

Anyway, today's drop is the Stepmother's 2nd ball gown.

I wanted her to have a gown she wears to a different night of the ball. I feel like in real life people would do that. She has a jewel/peacock thing going on in her overskirt trim, with an ombré effect.

"Oh, where did he go?"
