The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure

Post by UmbrellaFish »

Very exciting news for TLM fans!!!

New ‘The Little Mermaid’ Show Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/ ... d-studios/

There were rumors the building that housed the stage show was to be demolished due to mold, so I’m very excited that not only is Ariel coming back to DHS, but in a new, updated version of the stage show!! TBH, I actively avoided the old TLM show because it had not been well maintained IMO. So glad they have decided to give TLM the care and attention it deserves, and that TLM will continue to have a major presence in this park!!!

I wonder: Will it still have puppets? How similar will the new show be to the old? I'm happy, too, that we'll have a TLM show again.

I’m curious, too. With the addition of “Kiss the Girl,” it’s hard to imagine them making a show longer so I wonder if they’re cutting anything? But who knows, they may surprise us! I really hope it’s something special.

Audition information has been posted for the TLM stage show coming to DHS, as well as new concept art: https://wdwnt.com/2024/02/new-art-puppe ... maid-show/

It looks like instead of a CM on all fours in a costume, this time Max will be a puppet. A better call, I think!

The Max and turtle puppets are super cute. I haven't been to the parks since pre-Covid besides Disney Springs, but I'm really looking forward to this.

OMG this looks so cool! Thank you Disney for not killing Ariel's show, but giving it beautiful new life!

I hope them to respect the facade. The Ariel statue is so beautiful!

So, the location of the stage show is one of the rumored, possible new homes for the Monsters, Inc mini-land and roller coaster. I do not know if this delay spells good or bad for this production… I’m thinking bad? My fear is they’re going to continue pushing it back and back until it never opens… I think they are stalling to figure out what they’re going to do with Monsters, Inc. land. Maybe if they demolish the Voyage of TLM theater, they can just put the stage show someplace else? All the stage shows at DHS are showing their age and a new, updated TLM show would be a shame to waste.

I would not have cared so much if they had just kept the old “Voyage” theater vacant and not announced this new version. :/

If they are going to demolish the building then they could give me this beautiful Ariel statue :p

Oh no! I hope it is not the bad news you fear, Brelly! This was such an exciting sounding show, for us Little Mermaid fans! I will not give up hope yet! Monsters Inc. is inferior to The Little Mermaid! Everyone and their mom loves The Little Mermaid and Monsters Inc. is much less popular!

Thumper, that was cute. Yeah, give us fans those statues!
