This movie is going to be controversial for Nani (half filipina actress who is white passing and ignores Nani struggle to find a good job due to racism and colorism), them taking Cobra Bubbles in favor a native hawaiian character (the actress apparently lied about her ethnicity and she's japanese from Hawaii) David actor almost being whitewashed (luckily they recasted him fast)
But the director made a cute movie, Marshel the shell with the shoes on, so I'm hopeful
The kid they chosed for Lilo is very cute so if her scenes are well made I can ignore Nani scenes

Cobra Bubbles is still in the movie, dude.
Courtney B Vance is playing him.
Stop lying.
I dont follow the movie day to day, I just remember that last year there was a controversy of him being replaced by a teacher or something
After seeing the Sonic trailer, I rewatched this teaser along with some clips of Detective Pikachu since it's another popular movie using similar CGI characters - and honestly Stitch in the teaser looked far better than the other two. Not as cartoonish as Sonic, and his expressions were far better too . Sure we have to see if the rest of the movie has the same quality as the teaser, but after comparing, they made a good job here so far.

Detective Pikachu looks miles better than both
The basic model looked good but I didn't like his facial expressions.
Well Pikachu is a calmed animal while Stitch is crazy, so both facial expressions are different
I just think Pikachu from the movie looked almost real, you could buy he was real (other pokemons looked fake, like Aipons aka the purple monkeys that attack them with that drug)
When asked about Stitch's legacy as a character and what it was like to voice the beloved Disney icon again in the upcoming remake, Sanders had the following response:
"I like that the story and the characters have endured. It was my wish that the story and characters would have staying power, and I'm really glad that they have. I've never stopped doing the voice. I do it for all the different stage shows and parades and everything, and it's nice to, several times a year, be able to revisit that character."
Q: Chris, how has it been to revisit Stitch after voicing the character in Lilo & Stitch?
Chris Sanders: I continue to do his voice for different things. Every once in a while, I’ll go into a booth and do some recordings, and it’s always nice to hear about how he’s still out there, and people still know who he is. They really like him as a character, and it’s just wonderful. How do you describe that?
Q: Is there anything you can tease about voicing Stitch in next year’s live-action movie?
Chris Sanders: I have been able to see a few things, and I can’t tell you what I’ve seen. But they allowed me to see some peeks of what they wrote, too, and it’s really cool.
I don't think sanders is being honest, he'll give his contractually obligated "support" for the project, but I have a feeling he does not care for this project much at all. He's doing it for a paycheck, because why wouldn't he? But creatively I think he kinda hates it. He has not liked previous live action adaptations, and I don't expect that to change with his baby. He know what we all do, that the original is the best, and the live action will most likely miss the point and appeal of the original.

Unlike Snow White, I would actually disagree with you here.

Unlike snow white? Has she posted in this thread? I have no idea what you're saying.
What I mean to say is unlike how Snow White doesn’t look good, I would disagree on Lilo and Stitch and belive Chris Sanders isn’t BS-ing, otherwise he’d join the live-action How To Train Your Dragon.
He's not being asked to direct a live action anything though, just lend a voice, since audiences would notice if the voice didn't sound like stitch. Audiences do not follow directors very closely, they would not notice if he's attached in another capacity or not.
One of the biggest plot points of the original movie is that Nani and David are dark-skinned indigenous hawaiian people who don't have any other choice that to work in hotels where they fetichize their culture for tourists, apart from the system being racist to her and wanting to take Lilo away from her
And in this live action they have a whitepassing actress with no native hawaiian ancestry as Nani and they almost got a whitepassing actor for David (who they fired for having old tweets and replaced with a good choice)
At least Lilo actress is like Lilo
It's sad because Nani is the best and most emotional and deep character from the original movie, and I would have loved to see a dark-skinned indigenous actress get that opportunity

What if Nani was cast because of talent.
People shouldn’t only be cast by the color of their skin, they should be cast on talent and acting and quality.
