Re: permission to PM
Under every member's post, there's a button that says PM. When you click on it, it redirects you to a text form where you can write and send a message to them. If you are unable to do that, it means that the function in question is disabled on your account and I'll need Luke, the administrator, to enable it for you. You can contact him on Facebook and Twitter or email him at: [email protected]
Re: permission to PM
Hello, is that email still active, tried to send an email but it didn't work, also trying to get private messages activated.

I contacted him and he assured me the email address posted in my previous comment is active. If you are still unable to reach him through that one, you can try his alternative email: [email protected]
Re: permission to PM
Thanks, just tried to email him again. Appreciate your help.

Is it normal that we're only allowed 50 messages in the inbox folder? Seems like a low number.

Re: permission to PM
Yes, it's normal (for this board). The admin, Luke, reduced the capacity years ago to save on bandwidth. It was even worse back then as you didn't get PM privileges until you reached a certain amount of posts.

Re: permission to PM
Does the Outbox contain messages that were never sent? I just noticed it...do members shut off the ability to receive messages when they take a break or something and they stay in the Outbox? I have a message in there from a few years ago that I assumed the person received (among 3 other messages)...

Re: permission to PM
Until the recipient of the message opens it, the message remains in the Outbox folder on the sender's side. Once they open it, it moves to the Sent folder. Members don't have the ability to disable or suspend the PM function altogether but they can stop someone from sending them messages by adding them to their list of foes.

Re: permission to PM
The PM function has been enabled for gamer51 and skippy. If there's a member who has more than 40 posts but is unable to read or send private messages, please let me know. Moreover, the capacity of the inbox folder has been increased to 100. Nevertheless, please be mindful of the messages you choose to save as bandwidth is expensive.

Hello Sotiris,
I’ve just PM’d a forum member and that message is in my outbox.
Do you need to unblock this again for me?
Thank you

Re: permission to PM
The PM function on your account remains enabled. The outgoing message stays in your outbox folder until the person you sent it to opens it. Then it moves into your sent messages folder.
