One of my friends on Facebook told me the current transfer used on Amazon's Digital version of Cinderella is the 4K one. He lives in Italy, but I think it would be the same in the US, right?

I checked my copy and it doesn't look like it is the new version so maybe it is only on that region.

Maybe you have to purchase it again. I don't know really. I remember someone on this forum saying that Disney doesn't update the Digital versions of their films, you have to purchase the new ones. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

I discovered that there are two versions of the movie on amazon prime, the one that comes with the Signature collection and the 100th anniversary one, in Italy and other countries it looks like is already available to purchase but in the U.S. it is not available yet.

I have a friend who will be able to order me a copy of the movie from the Movie Club, together with that beautiful lithograph, and I'm super excited. :D Meanwhile, if Disney will update the movie on Disney+ with the 4K transfer, I'll get to see it before too :D

They actually do upgrade the digital version of their movies most of the time

Apparently, the regular Blu-ray disc included in the 4K set is the Signature Edition.

Could someone please read for me what the content advisory says?

Thanks, Sotiris. I couldn’t read the second word “tobacco” for the life of me!

Thank G-d Disney didn’t erase the King’s cigars as they did Pecos Bill’s ciggy butt!

I even had to pause and ask myself, “Who the hell uses tobacco products in Walt Disney’s Cinderella?

Makes me laugh what each generation finds “objectionable”!

Wait wait wait...

TEPPY! How did you get this already? It hasn't been released yet...

Did you test the regular blu ray to see which transfer it is??

Hey Marce, it's not mine. I found it on the forum on Blu-ray.com, and the user said it was posted on ebay.

Thanks, Teppy.

I'm not sure I consider that a very reliable source. Official reviews will be out on the 28th... I will wait for those.
I really hope the regular blu ray has the new transfer. I won't buy it otherwise.

Is the iTunes stream down? I can't watch it on my TV, maybe they are updating it.

Someone on Blu-ray.com said it was Japan, not Europe, who did this 4K restoration.

We don't know yet if the Blu-ray disc is the exact same as the original Signature Edition Blu-ray or not.

My copy on iTunes has updated its cover and when you try to search the movie it says "this title is not available" (still the same transfer for now)

It is happening!

That's weird. For me it has the same art as the Signature edition.

When searching for Cinderella in the iTunes Store (iPhone app) right now it’s not coming up at all.
Hope this doesn’t mean they are going to re-list it.
Although when looking in my library in the same app my copy was updated to the new 100years cover…still playing the botched transfer for now

UPDATE: Cinderella is now back in the iTunes Store and while it now shows the new cover art it’s still HD but at least it is still the same listing as the signature edition.
