That's a nice (surprise). I was a bit afraid it might get delayed with all these announced reshoots back in April/May..blackcauldron85 wrote:Season 2 starts on October 30th:

But apparently no.. Right on time!
Re: Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Despite its delay, the first trailer for Season Two just dropped !!!:
https://youtu.be/eW7Twd85m2g
can’t wait to see that BIG twist at mid-season
I also wonder how are they going to justify the fact that Pedro Pascal left the production halfway through filming... at least from a story perspective. Is Lucasfilm going to kill his character, or are they only going to focus on other characters (Ashoka, ...) or even possibly other Mandalorians since the series is called «The Mandalorian » (but we don’t know which one ^^)?

I had to Google what's going on with Pedro Pascal, as I had not heard (https://cosmicbook.news/star-wars-powde ... andalorian). The trailer looks SO good. I'm really excited for Season 2. And SO MUCH Baby Yoda! <3 <3 <3

Re: Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Has anyone been watching this season?! My husband kept trying to watch it when I was going to bed, so he had already seen a couple episodes, but we binged all 4 episodes yesterday. I like it just as much as Season 1! We were excited to see Greef Karga & Cara Dune back. The hologram had Dr. Pershing-- I already was fearful that the school was not a safe place for Baby Yoda, but when we saw the hologram, I really feared for Baby Yoda, so I was pleasantly surprised that he was safe. But I think that was foreshadowing of what is to come.
So, Baby Yoda eating the eggs. First off, hyperdrive was supposed to kill the eggs, right? But we saw at least one hatch (was that the only viable one, or just an early hatcher?). I felt bad for the Frog Lady because some of her babies are dead and she may not even know. But Baby Yoda is a baby and he's hungry, and babies don't always do what their parents tell them to do. I unfortunately had seen an article title about this before I had seen the episode, so I knew something was coming up. I'm not sure there needs to be a big to-do about Baby Yoda eating some eggs, but it was shocking seeing it (but still kind of funny, sorry not sorry).

Re: Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Just completed the first two seasons. One of my favorite episodes was episode 6 (The Prisoner). I always like seeing bullies getting what they deserve. Everyone could tell these people should not be trusted. Don't know why he didn't kill them all, but a good thing he didn't, considering a later episode.
Didn't like the episode where he meets a jedi for the first time that much. What a depressing planet, and the outcome would have been exactly the same even if he hadn't shown up. He got some information and his spear, but didn't really make a difference.
It is said Star Wars is still stuck in the 30s and 40s in some way, and that is true about the animals. Animals are just animals, they are not evil or monsters. The mudhorn was just trying to protect its egg and cave, and the krayt dragon was just a carnivore trying to eat, even if it was a gigantic carnivore. The bantha used as bait loaded with explosives was clearly terrified. (Also, interesting to see Reed Hastings in the role as Cobb Vanth)
That's leftovers from older sci-fi back in the days explorers on other planets were attacked by dangerous monsters that got what they deserved when killed by a raygun.
The seventh episode of season 2 was a bit confusing. Why did the TIE fighters wait to protect the vehicle filled with rhydonium till it was almost home? When they know that pirates are attacking and sabotaging, maybe it would be an idea to protect them all the way between A and B?
Then there was the frog lady. A human speaking her language sounded a bit silly (the same goes for her spring on all four). But my main problem was that they were making up rules to give them an excuse to be stranded on an alien planet. Since when did hyperspace in the Star Wars universe had a deadly effect on eggs? It would have made more sense if the hyperdrive stopped working or had been exposed to sabotage or something, instead if telling us it has an effect on living beings. I also found the whole spider chase a bit cliche. Smaller arthropods, unless they are poisonous or have some other trick up their sleeve, should be an easy match for a human. The main problem was the giant mother spider who seemed very determined to get them.
Those where the few things I felt the need to point out.
The mandolorian is also surprisingly naive when meeting strangers, trusting people he shouldn't trust.
Next season should be interesting.
