Where did you hear this? I'm on several Broadway forums and no one knows about this.
"Ta ta ta taaaa! Look at me... I'm a snowman! I'm gonna go stand on someone's lawn if I don't get something to do around here pretty soon!"

Finding Nemo: THe Musical question..

Post by The_Iceflash »

I am planning my itinerary on Disney's website using their itinerary maker for WDW and for some reason it doesn't show up in my options for Animal Kingdom entertainment.. Is it going to be closed or something?

FINDING NEMO

Post by Prince Charming 12 »

I think you need to search under the menu option of "entertainment", as it is not classified as an attraction.

The show only opened in 2007 so it should be around for a while. I did have the opportunity to watch it and it was very well done. Also, you might want to check out the other stage show called Festival of the Lion King located in Camp Minnie-Mickey.

No closing on the schedule right now: http://www.mouseplanet.com/8846/Walt_Di ... ate#Rehabs

When are you going? If it's really far in the future, Disney might not have it listed in the calendar yet for some reason. Or is it not showing up on the site at all for you?

And I'll ditto what Maerj said. Finding Nemo: The Musical is in a class of its own in terms of Disney World stage shows (I may or may not put Festival of the Lion King beside it).

Right now, you can book a lunch at the Tusker House Restaurant that comes with VIP reserved seating to Finding Nemo The Musical. If you are going to eat lunch in the park anyway, its a great way to do it. You don't have to worry about waiting in line to get a good seat.

That's where I checked before. I just did it again and it's not there. It lists:

Camp Minnie - Mickey Greeting Trails
Festival of the King
Flights of Wonder
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle

in that order.

@AwallaceUNC: I'm going at the end of July. (27th to be exact) It's page is there but it's not showing up as an option to add it on my itinerary. I can always type it in under "other" but I was concerned as to why it's not showing up..

@goofystitch: Really? That's a good deal..

It's not listed on the calander but it's listed on entertainment. We saw it in September and it was wonderful. Here's the entertainment section of WDW Animal Kingdom.

Finding Nemo on Broadway?

Post by disneyprincess11 »

From the boards on BroadwayWorld.com:

http://www.broadwayworld.com/board/read ... 4719&dt=18
I have a source that claims that Disney is taking another look at bringing Finding Nemo to broadway. The plan would be to use the current park version of the show as a blueprint and expand the score and rewrite the book. HOWEVER it should be stressed this is something planned for way down the road (I.E once they get Hunchback on the boards).
I can tell you with absolute certainty is IS True, its just in the VERY early stages.
I hope they're true, too bad it won't be for a long time though :(

From what I've seen, it looks like a cool show, but Broadway-worthy ? Hmmm ...

“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” Our new show is set in the timeline of the movie “Finding Dory.” When you take a seat in the theater, you’ll find yourself at the Marine Life Institute.

As the show begins, we catch up with the fish from Dr. P. Sherman’s office in “Finding Nemo,” who have made their way across the ocean to California. They tell the story of Nemo and how they all got there, incorporating many of the beloved songs and production numbers from the original show. The team is hard at work getting “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” ready to open in 2022, and we look forward to sharing more with you soon.
