Sadly, Helen Reddy, Nora in Pete’s Dragon (1977), has passed away.

I only knew her from Pete's Dragon, I didn't know of her success as a singer-songwriter or her advocacy of women's rights. I admire her much more now.

The Pete's Dragon soundtrack is one of my absolute favorites, partly due to her voice. I only know a couple of her pop hits ("I Am Woman" & "I Don't Know How to Love Him" are all that I know that I know), but her impact on my childhood with Pete's Dragon was big. RIP, Helen!
