Time limit on being logged in?

Post by Walter »

Okay, I did try to search for the topic, but did not find any.

I was just typing a post, which took me some time. When hitting the "Submit" button, it went to the Login screen. So when trying to go Back, and hope to copy and paste the post I just typed up, it was completely gone, as it also went to the Login screen.

Is there a time limit when someone is logged in? This has happened to me multiple times, and it's very annoying.

Depending on the browser, you might automatically log out after prolonged inactivity (apparently, typing in a message box doesn't count towards activity). One way to help avoid this is to always check off "Log me on automatically each visit" when you're logging in. This should keep you logged in every time you visit the page, and also when you're on a page for a long time without actually doing anything.
