My dish came back on just in time for the award.....the dish satelite has been on and off with this huge storm...it was hailing

Good Grief I don't believe it..I mean....really....and Tangled's I See the Light was better in my opinion.....well...I'm at a loss of polite words except congrats Randy Newman on his success

And allow me to let Nostalgia Critic say what My Reaction was about this Decision by the Academy

and My Opinion on the Academy's decision not to have Tangled win best Song

Thanks to this topic, I don't have to watch the Oscars to know what's going on. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with all of the info. :)

I've watched the Oscars the last five years or so, and I must say, I think that's the best In Memoriam tribute I've seen them do. The song choice was great, the camera remained on the tribute the entire time it played, and for once the audience held its applause until the end of tribute. It was nice. :)

Here's to the rest of the night!Image

I'm tired of people acting like Gwyneth Paltrow can really sing. Omg, "the newest country superstar"! B*tch, please.  Not without autotune in your back-pocket.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco have been pretty good, though probably not as good as Hugh Jackman last year. Kirk Douglas' presentation of the Best Supporting Actress award was hilarious. I thought it was a shame that HTTYD got a nomination for best original score and Tangled didn't. Tbh, I thought Tangled's score was far and away better than its songs.

I don't think "Tangled" could have been nominated for Best Original Score this year because of a new rule about musicals being ineligible for that category.

Is it just me, or was that Lena Horne tribute supposed to be longer than what they actually showed? Seemed to get cut off very quickly... :?

And one last thing-

That finale, what a nice little tribute with all the winners on stage with those children singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Great Oscar moment! :D

Well, that was my first Oscars experience. It was pretty exciting. :)

I missed the opening, but I just googled it. The True Grit scene was the best: "Uh, I loved you in TRON!"

Thanks, UmbrellaFish and disneyboy20022, for looking for streams for me!

Last year we endured the comedic duo of Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Hugh Jackman hosted in 2009. I assume he was mentioned so much last night because he was such a popular host. (I wouldn't mind bringing him back.)

Thank god The Social Network did not win for Best Picture. I'm not saying I hate this movie. I haven't seen it, but judging from the trailer, it's overrated. Congrats to The King's Speech!

Oh, and I know the joke is old but, yo Weinsteins. I'm real happy for you, Imma let you finish, but Black Swan was the best movie of 2010. THE BEST MOVIE OF 2010!
