Tim Gone </3!!!
But Shania Twain Week <3!!!
Watching the guys try to masculinize her music will be a total epic hour of lolz.
Song Suggestions anyone?
Aaron Kelly: Man I feel (look) Like A Woman.
I'd love to see Crystal belt out Honey I'm Home or That Don't Impress Me Much, but she'll probably offer up a tearful rendition of God Bless the Child (long version) that won't be nearly as entertaining.

Today I am doing the happy dance..................Tim Urban is gone and we no longer have to suffer through that stupid grin of his.
The "Idol Gives Back" show was not as boring as I an anticipated it would be.....................................it was way worse!!!! Not too many bright moments to pick out except for Elton John's performance at the end. This show needs to be on a Webcast so those that really care can watch and the rest of us can see who is getting booted off.
Next week should be very interesting. It's Shania Twain week, and since she is married to the man who made AC/DC rock, there should be lots of good material to choose from for the guys and the two gals.
Not looking for any earth-moving performances, but our two big stars, Crystal Bowersox and Michael Lynche should really shine.

Shania Twain week eh? So much VFTW pontential here. Being a Shania fan (and actually having worked for her for one day at a Charity Benefit in high school) I had a lot of worries about tonight. Some exceeded my expectations others surprised me with ther badness- Oh yeah and didn't I say the Judges may live to regret wasting their save on the Carbon Copy Soul Man? We shall see...
On to the rankings!
1. Siobhan Magnus: Our new VFTW pick blew it out of the water tonight! Girl is back on form and it was awesome. Simon got his effing moment this week that`s for sure.
2. Casey James: Surprised me. He sang one of my least favourite songs and actually made me kinda like it. First time I`ve liked him this whole competiton
3. Aaron Kelly: Vocal was excellent, but it wasn`t that believeable. Aww he sang to his mommy. How cute.
4. Lee Dewyze: Good, but not his element at all. Kinda boring.
5. Michael Lynche: BORING! God he is just so non-entertaining it kills me.
6. Crystal Bowersox: Total Bomb tonight. Was just awful, the judges made an attempt at damage control, but that performence may send golden girl home. Her boyfriend better have the ring ready cause it might be the only thing that saves her night tomorrow.
Bottom 3: Lee, Michael and Crystal
Going Home: God Crystal going home would be so uber... but she`s so popular right now that she might not get "Constantined" this week. Lee could be in real trouble, but I think he'll make it to the top 5.
So stick a fork in Mike. He's done. Again.

There's the Widdi we all know and love. Missed the whole point of Shania Twain week. All I can say is it is going to be tough seeing one of the six go, but I think that of the six the weakest performance was Aaron Kelly, and second to that would be Crystal Bowersox, although I did somewhat like what Crystal did with that song, the judges didn't.
My bottom three for the night will be: Crystal, Casey, and Aaron with Aaron going home.

Crystal ~ Probably her worst performance on the show. But it wasn’t that bad, still. Crystal’s 'bad' is another contestant’s “best night so far.”
Mike ~ I thought this was the worst of the night. Besides the fact that I don’t like his voice, or the type of music he’s going for, he completely destroyed that song.
Siobhan ~ Ugh. I still don’t like her (VFTW really should have been voting for her the whole time—Tim Urban was far from the worst). This was a completely bad song choice for her. Besides the fact that it’s a chorus song that you can’t display much ability with (which Casey has been picking repeatedly), it wouldn’t be very likable to a non-country audience. I mean, “teasin’, squeezin’, pleasin’ kind of time!” isn’t something many people would find pleasin’. (I grew up with country, and it even irks me). And then her scream thing—basically a ripoff of Lambert, who did it in a wider, more controlled way with much greater results—proves she's just a one trick pony. So I’m really hoping she’ll get thrown off the stage this week. Just tired of her.
Lee ~ I think he was the best of the night. Even though the song started off rough and I’ve really started to realize how annoying his voice can be, I liked it. But Simon was right—there is a kind of “girliness” to the song. But I still liked it.
Casey ~ I haven’t heard this song by Shania, but everyone seemed to like him. I didn’t really, though. Like with Lee, I’ve realized these past few weeks that his voice is quite annoying (the goat thing seems to screw up all his songs, and he can’t keep it under control). But it was a good song choice. Still, it’s like his whole time on Idol has been “Band song, band song, ballad. Band song, band song, ballad.” He’s really only been good at the ballads.
Aaron ~ It was okay. Nothing great, nothing bad. He picks some of the most syrupy songs though.
I'm not sure who'll end up going, but I really hope it's Siobhan. If not her, Mike. I don't think Aaron should leave just yet, and Crystal deserves to win.

Shock of all shocks, Siobhan Magnus was sent home last, leaving only one girl in the competition, and after the judges made such a big deal about this being the "girl's year" to shine.
It should have been Aaron Kelly or Casey James, because those are the next two to go.
Next week it is the music of Frank Sinatra with the mentor being Harry Connick Jr. and this should be a good week for Michael and Lee, however, Crystal is going to have do something special to maintain her hold on the crown that is hers to lose. I am hoping that she has another surprise up her sleeve.

We must be watching different shows, because this was the guy's week to shine and unfortunately only two of them stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park.
Bottom three this week will be: Aaron, Casey and Crystal.
Mike Lynche and Lee DeWyze saved the show from being a total disaster. Aaron was horrible, Casey couldn't keep up with the band and was totally out of his element, while Crystal just ho-hummed her way through "Summer Wind", one of my favorite Sinatra songs.
Kudos to Harry Connick Jr. and his band for providing the back-up and for his spot-on mentoring. Too bad that three of them didn't listen.
Going home tomorrow night: Casey (I hope) or Aaron.

Sinatra. Eh. I hate this style of music. But Harry Conick, Jr. was fun.
Lee ~ Wow. Lee has been the best two weeks in a row. If he didn't come across so withdrawn when not singing, I would think he could actually win.
Crystal ~ I thought she sounded beautiful, only the orchestra seemed to swallow up her voice.
Aaron ~ Michael did technically better this week, but I don't like Michael's voice. Aaron did decent, even if he wasn't great.
Michael ~ This is the best he's done before. But I still don't like him.
Casey ~ Wow, Kara. You just now realized he has a bit of a 'goat' vibrato? How observant. I only realized that when he first sung in the top 24. What a horrible judge. Can't wait to hear what sucky song she pins on Crystal this year. For Crystal's sake, I hope it gets dropped the same way "No Boundaries" did.
I hope Michael goes. But it'll probably be Casey, if even the judges can finally admit his voice can't go very far.

Don't understand all the hatred for Michael Lynche. "Big Mike" has been a solid performer throughout the tryouts, and the Hollywood Week, and right through to now. His one 'hiccup' week he was saved and that is fine for me.
Michael Lynche has a lot of experience and working with a 12-piece band on his own, he brings a lot of talent to the table each week.
He will be in the Final Four, but I still think that it will be Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze competing for the American Idol 2010 crown this year.

What a shame. Aaron so did not deserve to be eliminated so soon. I actually could have seen him as the runner-up behind Crystal if he tried hard enough.
I really would have rather seen Casey go.

Well, it's time for Aaron Kelly to go. Hey, he is only 17, and he can make an album and I would buy it. Let's hope that he does. I would have been jumping up and down with glee if Casey had been sent home, but next week is "Music from the Movies" and he will be the next to go. Jamie Foxx is the mentor next week, and it should prove to be an interesting show with Lee and Crystal leading the way into the finals.
My prediction is Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox in the final two.

If there was any doubt about who this years final two are going to be, they laid it to rest tonight. Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze proved why they are the ones to beat.
It was movie night, and the artist's each chose a song from a movie. Most were wrong choices except for Crystal Bowersox, she rocked the house with her version of "I'm Alright" from the movie "Caddyshack". Again she proved that this is her crown to lose.
The bottom two for sure this week will be Michael and Casey, and I which ever one goes home tomorrow night, next week the other one will go.
Our top two will be Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze.

Crystal ~ Always the best, even if tonight wasn’t anything I was ecstatic about.
Casey ~ I liked the song choice he made, and the beginning and ending of the song were good. But the inbetween was really long and boring. Still, Casey’s best at ballads/slow songs.
Lee ~ I really hate “Kiss by a Rose.” I know it’s a really popular song, but it’s always irritated me. So, you can imagine how I felt about this. I guess Lee sounded as good as anyone could sound singing that song for me.
Michael ~ Okay.
Crystal & Lee ~ Their duet of “Falling Slowly” was perfection. It almost made up for the rest of the dreck that is this season. At first, I rolled my eyes. I don’t know how many generic songs and recyclings I’ve seen this season (“The Long and Winding Road,” “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” “Change Gonna Come,” “When You Believe,” etc.), and I didn’t expect them to top Kris Allen’s version last year. They proved me wrong. Their voices really worked well together, and Crystal sounded beautiful.
I kind of tuned out when Casey and Michael were singing because I was getting a tape ready for Glee
