Are Goof Troop and Quack Pack coming on DVD?? Yes!

This is somewhat disappointing news. The Goof Troop thing is okay, even though I may not buy it, but Quack Pack? I hated that show, and I know it wasn't all that popular. I'd rather see The Little Mermaid, Darkwing Duck, Mickey Mouse Works, House of Mouse and future Rescue Rangers and DuckTales sets on DVD, not Quack Pack. Hopefully they'll put out The Little Mermaid series around the time of the Platinum Edition as a tie-in (yeah, I like girly shows, aren't I pathetic? )

Put it this way - if it's a two disk set with the same amount of eps as the Ducktales DVD's, there should only be two sets released, meaning it'll be out of the way quickly and you get get your shows sooner.

And I want you all to buy QP, otherwise Disney may get the idea we only wanted Ducktales.

As for Gummi Bears never coming out on DVD....I highly doubt that. I mean they only JUST started releasing their animated shows. They'll get to it. Especially if they get bombarrded by requests for the show. But it just might not be till they get their more popular shows out.

Quack Pack....I'm not sure if I remember this show. Can anyone give me an idea of what the show was about? Who the characters were? Maybe I can remember it.

This is great that Goof Troop and Quack Pack will be released! Now they need to put Darkwing Duck on the list! The second Goofy movie was called An Extremely Goofy Movie and Quack Pack was where Hewey,Dewey,And Lewy were teenagers and it also had Donald Duck.

There's an introduction to Quack Pack there. I didn't like it how they modernised Huey, Duey and Louie to the point where they looked unrecognisable. Daisy was also modernised in a less terrible way into a news reporter.

Well, this is good news. I never really liked either of these shows (especially Quack Pack), so I wouldn't pick them up if they were released, but the more shows Disney puts on DVD, the better. I mean, anytime Disney wanted to announce any Aladdin television series DVD sets, it would be just fine with me.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but how good were the sales for the Ducktales and Chip 'n Dale sets?

I quite enjoyed Goof Troop, as I always enjoy anything involving Goofy. Yes, there are various complaints, including the domestication of Pete, but I still thing it was a fun little show.

I have to admit to only have vague memories of Quack Pack.

Naturally, I will continue to buy these in that hopes that the "better" series will come out. Plus, I really can't help myself when it comes to Disney DVDs in any form...

Hooray! I really like Goof Troop, though it is a surprising pick, when more popular (and preferable) series still haven't been released. Nonetheless, I'm thrilled to see Disney opening their vaults like this!

I don't remember Quack Pack very well, other than that I rarely watched it because I never got into it. I'll still be interested in checking it out, I'm sure. Another strange pick, though. If these two are seeing the light of day, I think Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin stand a very good chance (and hopefully Gummi Bears too!).

I like the fact that they are releasing shows in twos, and that they have things in common with each other. Ducktales and Chip and Dale were about adventures & Goof Troop and Quack Pack are shows featuring classic characters in modern situations. I hope that 101 Dalmations and Jungle Cubs are released soon, along with Aladdin and the Little Mermaid & TalesSpin and Darkwing Duck. I just hope that Disney will continue to release Ducktales and Chip and Dale and continue new DVD sets for shows that have already been released to DVD. And where's that cover art?

To make this thread less of a confuzzled quandry and more of a useful answer-provider, I've merged it with a reworked older post what's basically a reprint of the front page blurb, for the few of you silly enough not to read the front page. (See the first post in this thread if you simply don't know what I'm talking about.)

Gotta say, the information I've found on these discs is disheartening. Had they opted to put 8 episodes per disc (that's one less than what they did for C & D and DuckTales), they could have run through the series in 8 and 5 volumes, respectively. Now, it's basically just fitting the mold of Classic Cartoon Favorites / Funny Factory with 60 minutes of animation (from somewhere, though where doesn't seem to matter), "FastPlay", and no bonus features. Now, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would rather have some episodes, but not the entirety of these series, who wouldn't be willing to spring for a $25 box set. But the 3-episode route is such a tease and never going to give fans who really want them all a legitimate opportunity to buy them. There's no way there will ever be a Volume 22 of "Goof Troop." Plus even at bargain bin pricing, it costs nearly 3x more per-episode than "DuckTales" and "Chip 'n Dale." Still, "Quack Pack" and "Goof Troop" on DVD is better than no "Quack Pack" and "Goof Troop", and at least these seem to be offering one episode more than the '90s VHS compilations.
