Post by Papa Bear »

Well I just got an email from the Disney Movie Club and it appears that they are releasing the 2Disc edition on January 17th to The Disney Movie Club.Image

So I guess we can only wait and see what realy happens

If this is true, this is shameless dubble-dipping! :headshake:
I must say it's quite disappointing for costumers who've spent the money on the new edition already.

There's no reason to wait - the Disney Movie Club will be selling the same single disc Special Edition as other places, apparently beginning next January. Even after release date, Disney has shamelessly advertised this DVD to be something it's not, namely a 2-disc set.

Case in point, this banner which was adorning DisneyVideos.com the last time I visited:

Interestingly enough, none of this week's four releases appear on that site at all. Talk about information breakdown! You all deserve kudos for being informed enough to visit this site, but people who rely on Disney for information are bound to be misinformed and confuzzled.

I can merge this with one of the handful of "Tarzan's not two discs" threads, if you'd like, but I think it's best moved to the Disney Movie Club forum.
