The standard trilogy is like this!:

It is one box with everything just printed onto that one card box
The Exclusive play version is like this:

The box on the right is card and the box on the left is clear plastic with the trees and the writing on. So when you place them together they create the same effect as the standard one but obviously with a plastic slip case over the box!

I think the only reason the play exclusive is cheaper is because play wants to get rid of their exclusive ones quicker as obviously they are the only store than can sell them, and they don't want to be stuck with a load of them. But the packaging is far superior.

No, the features are not the same. The Lion King 2 is missing the Virtual Safari, and possibly a number of the smaller featurettes too.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
