Great idea for a thread, EGJ!

Some of the movies in my "overlook, but enjoy when I do watch it" list would have to be these:

Bambi - I never really understand how some people have such a huge love affair with this movie, and it's not really high in my favorites list. But on occasion if I find myself watching it, I'll enjoy it.

Hayley Mills movies (like Pollyanna or The Parent Trap) - I'm not a big fan of the Hayley Mills movies, to be honest. I only have two, neither of which are my particular favorites from the 1950s/1960s era. But if I suddenly have that odd "what haven't I watched in a long time?" feeling, I'll likely grab one of those movies just to get it over with. And usually, I end up enjoying it more than I expected (though Pollyanna, as good as it can be, is just too damn long).

The Santa Clause - I think because it's a holiday film that I don't really rank it anywhere in a "favorite" or "least favorite" list. And since ABC, ABC Family, and The Disney Channel always have huge holiday programming blocks, there's always a chance I'll catch it on TV and like it.

For me, it was Pocahontas and Brother Bear.

I've seen both during their original theatrical release and had Pocahontas on VHS since it first came out. I bought the 10th Anniversary Special Edition about two years ago, but I never really bothered watching either that much, it was mainly to say I had it. However, when I actually sat down to take the time and watch it on DVD (about a year ago), I really was ashamed of how much I underestimated it, it was so much better than I remember. Now I'm not prancing around deeming it one of my favorites, but I do prefer it over a lot of other movies (which is really saying a lot)

For Brother Bear, I had my mom buy it for me when I first got my laptop (so around the time of it's release), but never watched it- just opend it, and put it on the shelf with the rest of my DVDs. It wasn't until DavidKawena (of DeviantArt fame) made the piece of Sitka for his "Disney Heroes" series that I actually decided to watch it- and I completely fell in love with it. As with Pocahontas, I was really ashamed that I didn't bother watching it, and I actually rank this movie higher than some of the classic (not naming them, so that I won't get beat up. )

I also have Sword on the Stone on VHS, but never watched it- at all. Maybe now that you (Evil Genie Jafar) mention it, I might give it a try one day?

I never cared to watch "The Three Lives of Thomasina," but I saw it on the public library shelf and decided to check it out. I ended up enjoying it! Now, there are other DVD titles I have to save $$ for, but I just might pick up "Thomasina" in the future.

"Elfego Baca" was another surprise for me. I purchased this Walt Disney Treasure volume because I collect them all, plus I knew of "The Swamp Fox" -- though I had never watched it, either. I enjoyed watching both franchises, but I REALLY enjoyed EB, and I really hope Disney will release the balance of both of these two serials.

These are films I put in my good-but-not-great list. They don't get as much replay as my absolute favorites, but when I watch them, I enjoy them. I give them all a solid 7/10 or ***/****.

Home on the Range- I held off on buying this for a long time because of mixed reviews, but when I finally got it and watched, it was quite enjoyable. Plus I really like the colors.

Cars- It's not one of my favorite Pixar films, but it's still fun. Gotta love Mater!

The one's I overlook are:
The Rescuers, the Rescuers Down Under.
Monsters,inc.
Finding Nemo.
The emperors new groove.
And now I think about it Treasure Planet I have not watched it in a long time, I'll have to, some time soon, good idea. And good idea for a thread Evil Genie Jafar. (I'm glad I thought of it lol)

Chicken Little - I've always liked it, but it gets bashed so much to the point where I actually start believing the bad stuff. Then I watch it and all the bad feelings go away.

The Sword in the Stone - It's a great, underestimated movie. The times I do watch it, I always question why it's not watched more frequently.

Hmm . . . probably Treasure Planet would be one of these said films. I wasn't drawn into the whole Sci-Fi remake of the classic "Treasure Island", and I think this came after the horrid "Titan A.E." so . . . I think you could understand my feelings for the genre.

However, once I watched it, I was delighted. I loved it, and I still have yet to buy it for my growing Disney DVD collection, so . . . yeah. Other movies took my money first. XD

I can't think of any other films at the moment . . . except for maybe The Black Cauldron . . . That one took one viewing for me to love it, despite the bad, bad reviews and how the ending screams the words "SEQUEL".

I think I'll have the longest list. Most of these I've only just came to enjoy through the pleasures of Disney DVD collecting. I would consider some of them favorites, but I still over-look them!

Well,I think that The Lion King is my favorite Disney animales movie but I find it very overrated espically because some people say that it's the best Disney movie ever,It's a wonderful movie but it's not the best Disney movie,I think Disney had much better films (In my list it's below films like Peter Pan,Alice In Wonderland and Lilo And Stitch).

Cinderella, The Sword in the Stone, and the Dark Age films. They're not films I think much of but still entertaining.

Treasure Planet, Meet the Robinsons, and The Great Mouse Detective mainly. The Rescuers is a film that most people overlook but I consider it a bonafide Disney classic. Treasure Planet as well to an extent but I think I often overlook it anyway which is why I included it here.
